Responsibilities

Ferguson is seeking a Project Manager / Estimator to join our Waterworks Division in the Bismark or Fargo Area! This role combines project management and quotations responsibilities to support water and wastewater treatment projects. You will manage projects from start to finish while preparing accurate quotations, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Occasional on-site client visits may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Manage all aspects of assigned projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.
Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, and requirements; perform necessary calculations.
Monitor project progress, resolve operational issues, and minimize delays.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and satisfactory service.
Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.
Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet project goals.
Assist with execution of projects in accordance with Ferguson's project management methodology.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with major accounts/customers.
Quotations & Estimating
Gather required data for quote preparation, including contacting vendors for pricing.
Analyze specifications, drawings, and bills of material to develop accurate cost estimates.
Prepare and send completed quotes to sales representatives or customers ahead of deadlines.
Track actual costs relative to bids as projects progress; assess cost-effectiveness of products and services.
Maintain bid calendars and update Salesforce with quotation details.
Stay current on new products, market trends, and pricing strategies.
Participate in resolving pricing-related issues and corporate-wide initiatives involving quotations processes.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in construction project management or project coordination, preferred.
Prior experience with construction-related quotations or estimating, required.
Knowledge of waterworks products and/or industrial/commercial plumbing, highly preferred.
Familiarity with digital takeoff and estimating software (PlanSwift, Bid Tracer), a plus.
Ability to read blueprints, building plans, or drawings, preferred.
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; Salesforce experience preferred.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Valid driver's license required.

Day to day customer sales, measure and estimate projects

Product training:

Basic Qualifications:
Must have experience

Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in a pressured environment while maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor
Ability to read blueprints & do takeoffs
Knowledge of the construction industry
Previous building supplies sales experience is a plus
Previous background in home construction & building supplies is a plus
Computer skills with knowledge of basic office systems
Valid driver's license is required
Self-directed and able to prioritize and meet deadlines with professional quality results
Ability to think proactively, anticipate customer needs and ask for and close the sale

Compensation:
$20.00 to $28.00 per hour DOE
