The Cost Estimator is responsible for leading the estimating effort for Direct Reduction Iron (DRI) industrial plant projects. Participate in value engineering discussions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Continuously improve estimating methods and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all estimates and supporting documentation.
Assist in the development of pricing strategies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (5+ years) as a Cost Estimator in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Solid mathematical and quantitative abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with cost estimating software and ERP systems is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

support the business at large and help improve workplace communication and efficiency. You will conduct yourself as a leader with high integrity and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you will:
Collect different quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
Identify and analyze labor, material costs, and time requirements, by searching proposals, blueprints, project plans, and any related documents to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Analyze company data, monitor budgets and prices using software packages
Determine what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product

Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
EXPERIENCE:Surveying experience (in and out of the office) 3 year minimum, and Site Construction experience of at least 3 years.
