Allied Universal is hiring a Solutions Architect. The Solutions Architect supports the achievement of sales goals through direct pre-sales support providing high quality, innovative, cost-effective technical solutions that meet or exceed our customer's needs in a professional manner. RESPONSIBILITIES:

A valid driver license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required.
Knowledge
Principles of engineering, electrical distribution systems, computer-aided design and drafting procedures and SAP; related materials and equipment and drafting/design procedure; advance mathematics.
National Electrical Code; Cal OSHA title 8 and 24; State of California Electrical Safety Orders; General Orders 95, 128 and 165; building codes and standards; legal land descriptions; procedures and regulations and district's electrical system and service area.
Skills/Abilities
Learn engineering procedures; apply electrical engineering concepts; read, analyze and interpret engineering plans, designs, specifications, circuit maps, street light maps, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence or procedure manual.
Understand safety rules and regulations and work safely; understand safety rules and regulations and work safely; apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions; work with mathematical fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Prepare specifications and instructions regarding the power system; perform computer-aided design and drafting; draft sketches to scale and prepare detailed drawings or designs; estimate materials, equipment and labor costs for installations; operate personal computer and use software including SAP.
Perform mathematical computations; inspect completed projects for conformance to design or drawing criteria; works courteously and cooperatively with employees, contractors, consumers, agency representatives and the general public.
