What you'll be doing:
Become an indispensable part of the team tasked with winning new work and managing preconstruction by learning and applying DD's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Manage the estimating process from start to finish on multiple concurrent exercises.
Lead teams of other estimators on larger, more complex projects.
Assemble conceptual budgets and various updates during design progression.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
Primary Job Role
Conducts all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental and contamination control policies, procedures and regulations. Wears and enforces wearing proper personal protective equipment.
Prepares estimates utilizing various dealer computer systems resulting from written and verbal requests by reviewing inspection information, service reports, historical records, specifications, in person machine inspections and other related information.
Initiates requests for new or revised standard jobs to the standard job developer based on perceived need or requests from various shop supervisors.
Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains knowledge of service literature, with a high awareness of product upgrades and changes.
Assists in preparing projected expenses for various CSA type contract requests.
Trains and/or mentors others in department. Assists in the training of standard jobs, as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.

· Analyzes bid documents, in conjunction with Business Development, to qualify targeted opportunities.

· Sources, contacts, solicits bids from and distributes support documents to subcontractors and vendors.

· Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships.
