Collaborate in a team environment to promote positive company growth.
Provide customers with information regarding inconsistent blueprints and details of the issues for resolution and completion.
Participate in and contribute to sales meetings regarding quote packages, weekly goals, ideas for process improvements and status of win/lose status of quotes. If applicable
Work closely with General Manager and Production team to determine root causes of discrepancies in estimated costs vs actual costs and help drive improvement to increase product margins.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.
Minimum of 5+ years experience in metal manufacturing and Machining
Computer literacy and ability to learn new software programs, MS Word, MS Excel at an intermediate level, Outlook.
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems.
Prior customer service/sales experience preferred.

Job Description
The Cost Estimator/Analyst is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for new and existing products, projects, and processes across product lines of flexible and rigid printed circuit boards (PCB's) and PCB Assemblies. This role involves detailed analysis of materials, labor, and processes, as well as ongoing support to Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Purchasing. The Cost Estimator will also manage related costing system control tasks, support engineering change processes, and ensure cost data accuracy to drive informed business decisions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Support in maintaining a database of pricing, labor rates, and materials costs.
Track and update historical cost data and unit pricing.
Maintain accurate BOMs, routers, and pricing in costing system.
Collaborate with other estimators and finance to establish project indirect costs and overheads for each estimate.
Generate a complete quote which includes the following: NRE (tooling) costs, lead time, exceptions, material/hardware cost, vendor charges, labor cost, and sell price.
Analyze current practices and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements and recommend process improvements.
Calculate costing rule formulas.
Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Provide technical support for component vendors.
Provide cost analysis for Sales and/or Management.
Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in electrical estimating to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelors in related field, or Associates Degree in related field and 5 plus years of manufacturing experience. Experience in PCB and/or PCBA fabrication, including assembly processes is desirable.
Must be able to read and interpret technical prints.
Strong analytical skills analytical skills which can be used to recommend cost reductions and profitability improvement.
Ability to build relationships and work effectively within a team.
Strong organizational skills, capable of handling multiple competing priorities and timelines.
