**Overview**
The IS Delivery Pre-Construction Estimator is responsible for developing policies for preparing cost estimates for product manufacturing and services.
**Responsibilities**
- Assess the cost-effectiveness of products and services.

POSITION PURPOSE
As a Commercial HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for Design/Build & Plan/Spec of Commercial HVAC construction projects. This includes calculations for AC & Heat loads, ventilation in a warehouse (exhaust fans & louvers), frost protection heaters and sizing of ductwork. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all estimates align with project requirements and budgetary constraints. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure that all materials and labor costs are accurately estimated. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Review base building documents provided from the GC/Owner.
Calculate AC & Heat loads for comfort cooling/heating in offices, warehouses, and restaurants.
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and timelines.
Obtain competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
Obtain submittals from vendors.
Prepare and submit bids and proposals to clients.
Evaluate and analyze project risks.
Participate in design and project meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams, both in house and with the general contractors.
Attending in person meetings at the GC's office and/or virtual meetings via the computer.
Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and project-related documents.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Commercial HVAC Design / Sales / Build & Project Estimating
Strong knowledge of Commercial HVAC systems and construction methods
Excellent communication and people skills
Ability to work effectively in a challenging environment.
NetSuite experience is a plus.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in preconstruction meetings, site visits, and subcontractor engagement events.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using on-screen takeoff (OST) software and enter data into estimating software.
Collaborate with the team to complete takeoffs and other assigned estimating tasks.
Initiate and maintain communication with subcontractors to encourage bid participation and obtain competitive pricing.
Develop and issue bid packages to subcontractors and material suppliers in alignment with project requirements.
Assist the Director of Preconstruction and Preconstruction Managers in identifying qualified subcontractors and maximizing bid coverage.
Coordinate bond and insurance documentation for bid submittals.

Essential Duties:

• As-Built Drawings - Ensure that field operations maintain a set of “Red Line” drawings throughout the project marking any variations to design drawings, required field changes and revision approvals from owner.
• Project Coordination - Duties include being point of contact for day-to-day communication with the owner, engineer, field supervision, subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare RFI's as required for the project. Coordinate flow of information between all parties on the project. Update project team on potential problems regarding construction drawings, jobsite performance, material availability, permits, schedules, test reports and other items that effect the project progress and quality.

POSITION PURPOSE
As a Commercial HVAC Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for Design/Build & Plan/Spec of Commercial HVAC construction projects.
