Here's the work you get to do:
Detailed Quantity Takeoffs: Perform accurate material and labor takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings using estimating software. Ensure all quantities are clearly documented, categorized by CSI division or trade scope, and ready for pricing.
Scope Sheet & Bid Package Support: Assist in assembling trade-specific scope sheets and bid packages based on the project documents and direction from the Senior Estimator.
Identify scope gaps or drawing inconsistencies and escalate for resolution.
Subcontractor Communication & Bid Tracking: Solicit, log, and organize subcontractor and supplier bids. Follow up bid coverage and clarify basic scope questions, routing complex issues to the Senior Estimator. Maintain subcontractor bid logs and ensure bid files are up to date.
Estimate Input & Data Entry: Enter quantities, unit prices, and vendor quotes into the estimating system or spreadsheets. Assist in assembling the final estimate and pricing summary for internal review.
