Responsibilities



Uses Interstates estimating systems to complete pricing and proposals Provide support for larger proposals to include coordination, formatting, assembly, packaging and delivery Analyzes bid documents such as drawings, specifications, etc., to prepare estimates Maintains and captures all necessary documentation of the bid cycle (i.e.: notes, assumptions, verbal instructions) Tracks and prepares CSD Support proposals/contracts in advance of due dates, coordinating with Leads to ensure accuracy before releasing to client. This includes maintaining opportunities in Dynamics 365 Opportunity Tracking System. Maintains proposal milestone schedules, managing due dates accordingly Works with delivery leaders to adjust pricing models Provides pricing support and input quantities with standard pricing philosophy Reviews proposals for consistency and adherence to standards Provides Estimating related administrative support to the above professional services teams as needed May participate in conversations with clients regarding scope of the project/support contract

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Myers, Houston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC), Rycon specializes in new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuses. Rycon's portfolio consists of projects in health care, educational (K-12 & higher ed), industrial/warehouse, commercial, multi-unit residential, retail, financial, food service/dining, governmental, hospitality, cannabis, self-storage, and LEED facilities.
We are seeking an experienced Estimating Coordinator at our Atlanta office in Alpharetta, Georgia.

What you will do:

Provide administrative support for our Estimating and Preconstruction departments. Solicitation of bids and proposals, through daily telephone and email interaction with subcontractors and vendors, for the purpose of obtaining their bids for current Rycon preconstruction and bid efforts. Managing project documents including plans, specifications, addenda. Including creation and maintenance of project proposal/bid folders housing all project bid documents and subsequent updates and addenda Maintain Rycon bid calendar noting bid dates, pre-bid meetings, job walks and other relevant dates. Create and maintain bid binders capturing all bids received, divided by CSI divisions. Build and maintain a comprehensive database of subcontractors and vendors to be contacted to obtain bids for ongoing Rycon project pursuits


What you will need to be successful:

Minimum of one (1) year recent office experience, preferably with a commercial construction contractor. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast paced, high-volume environment. Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines and possess flexibility to respond and adapt to changing schedules. Excellent telephone and written communication skills. Computer skills required - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook). Familiarity with industry specific software such as Procore, Plan Hub, Construct Connect and Building Connected is highly valued. Ability to successfully collaborate with others

Edison Power Constructors estimator/project coordinator job description

The position of the Estimating Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the estimating team and estimating leadership in report generation, analyzing cost data, support in proposal generation, and updating template documents. This role will shadow and participate in estimating reviews and meetings assigned to the Estimating team. The Estimating Coordinator may also be assigned individual tasks by an Estimator to support in the estimate development. This position must have the ability to work independently and as a team, accept guidance when needed to improve their capabilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Manage and update the estimating management system. Coordinate with Estimators to ensure the most current information presented in the proposal summary report. Submit proposal summary report to key leadership positions. Support Estimator's and Estimating Director in generation, compilation, and submission of bids/proposals to clients. Works with Estimating Director and key leadership roles to generate and submit corporate risk reviews and bid reviews. Assembles and compiles various cost reports for distribution to key stakeholders. Supports team with document control responsibilities and updates template documents upon request. Take meeting minutes for department and project specific meetings. Ability to travel to project sites to understand construction sequence, means and methods, site conditions and perform time-studies. Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Prepare and coordinate RFQ's for subcontractors and vendors.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


High School diploma or equivalent.


DESIRED CHARACTERISITICS


Previous experience working in utilities is preferred but not required. Proficiency in Word and Excel.
