The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for base and paving projects, conducting takeoffs and pricing for base layers, asphalt paving, and related tasks. This position is located in either our North Salt Lake or Ogden office. As an Aggregate and Paving Estimator, you will earn a salary of $90,000-$125,000 (Depending on Experience), which is paid weekly. * Ability to develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, and owners.
* Ready to learn estimating processes including bid invitations, takeoffs, estimating software, plan and specification review.
* Experience with Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Planswift, TBC, Agtek and Estimate(B2W).

About this role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Project Estimator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to not only lead estimating efforts but also to build and shape the estimating process from the ground up. You'll work closely with project managers, leadership, and field teams to develop our estimating process and scale it for growth!
What you'll do:
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for HVAC systems
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and other project documents.
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs using historical data and current market trends.
Utilize estimating software to streamline the estimating process and improve accuracy.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents to ensure comprehensive coverage of project requirements.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and RFIs to gather critical project information.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to provide cost data, clarifications, and technical input during project handoff and execution phases.
Communicate with clients and general contractors to clarify scope, answer questions, and ensure alignment on bid expectations.
Work closely with internal departments, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead times.
Maintain strong working relationships to support timely and competitive bids
What you'll bring:
Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC industry
Strong knowledge of Commercial and Industrial HVAC systems.
Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to understand and read construction documents including plans and specifications, requests for proposals, addendums, etc.
Must be familiar with and be able to navigate software including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Bluebeam.
