We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimating efforts for large-scale industrial and commercial electrical construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in developing competitive, accurate, and strategic cost estimates. The Senior Electrical Estimator will collaborate closely with project management, engineering, and executive teams throughout the preconstruction phase. Over time, this role is intended to grow into a leadership & supervisory role responsible for the estimating department.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects.
· Perform complex quantity take-offs and apply appropriate unit pricing for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
· Develop bid strategies and review proposals for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
· Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to assess project scope, site conditions, and risks.
· Lead bid reviews and presentations to executive leadership.
· Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimate alignment with execution plans.
· Evaluate historical data and market trends to develop and refine cost databases.
· Mentor and support junior estimators and assist in training programs.
· Maintain strong vendor and subcontractor relationships to support competitive pricing.
· Assist in value engineering, design-assist, and design-build efforts as needed.
· Continually transform estimating department processes, procedures and best practices.
Qualifications:
· Expertise in reading and interpreting complex plans, specifications, and electrical schematics.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external coordination, leading complex conversations with vendors, sub-contracts, team members and community members.
· Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
· Experience in the industrial or commercial construction industry (field and/or office roles)
Preferred Skills & Attributes:
· Proficiency with the estimating software (McCormick preferred); and other construction software tools like Bluebeam, etc.
· Strong understanding of NEC (National Electrical Code), construction sequencing, and industry best practices.
· Electrical estimating experience with a focus on commercial and industrial construction.
· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related advanced field experience
· Supervisory experience in leading a team of technical professionals
· Experience with design-build or design-assist projects.
· Familiarity with industrial automation and controls

Position Summary:
Estimator must work with Marketing, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to accurately estimate composite manufacturing projects. Estimator shall combine material pricing information, supplier quotes, in-house labor, and overhead in order to complete a comprehensive and professional proposal to the customer, which will result in commercial profit for the company. Projects shall emphasize composite components, however additional quoting in support of sheet metal assembly projects and other aircraft components also required. The Estimator will be responsible to receive the Request for Quote from the customer, compile all necessary information, clearly communicate with the customer and suppliers, and create a formal professional response for the customer.
Duties and Tasks:
Maintain accurate files and documents used to estimate each project.
Maintain a log of projects already estimated and current projects in work.
Work to prioritized task list to assure all quotes or proposals are completed on time to the customer.
Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements.
Research how to established and incorporate new guidelines for new programs, manufacturing sequences and lead times through work centers.
Understand sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations.
Project standard hours earned for existing and new jobs.
Seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance duties
Communicate with management with regard to status of work being performed.
Applying the necessary effort necessary to complete the proposal or project to the most professional level.

As a Project Estimator (Rebar Estimator), your duties are primarily to estimate the number of reinforced steel bars (rebar) and other related construction or manufacturing materials needed for a specific project. We are looking for someone with experience in the construction or supply industry to collect relevant data and use computer-aided design or building information modeling software to arrive at accurate estimates. The successful candidate will be able to complete rebar estimates in a timely manner and follow up with customers to secure bids and manage current projects.
Responsibilities:
Estimate Rebar Requirements: Accurately estimate the quantity, sizes, and types of rebar required for construction projects based on provided plans, specifications, and other project documents.

**Responsibilities**

The Fabrication Estimator is part of a team who is responsible for accurately estimating costs of fabrication jobs / projects to meet applicable safety standards, cost targets, labor requirements, job scope, and deadlines to maximize productivity and profitability. Estimates will require consideration of materials, manufacture / fabrication, labor / work including any development costs (such as to fabricate new components). Estimates will include any changes / repairs of partially fabricated components because of specification revisions.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews and interprets requests for quotes (RFQ's).
Understand plans and requirements for each task and review data/paperwork etc.
Reviews estimates for completeness and accuracy.
Reviews and understands bid documents, including all specifications and scope of work.
Executes take-offs from design (contract) drawings.
Consideration of any special equipment required.
Inputs take-offs into Job Boss and/or Excel templates.
