ETCO company history timeline

1947

ETCO was incorporated in 1947 to take advantage of a patent by Rene Martines who founded the company with Joe Dunn.

1982

1985

ETCO received its first patent in 1985 on their “T” Cone expandable plug.

1986

In 1986, ETCO began compounding our own urethanes in order to meet the physical properties and environmental requirements needed for our products.

1993

ETCO received a patent on the “E-Loc” Coupling in January of 1993.

1994

Earl spent 22 years building this business before retiring in 1994.

1996

In 1996, a major manufacturer of corrugated pipe approached ETCO for help in developing a manhole adapter for their large diameter corrugated pipe.
