The Remote Security Officer provides services for a variety of large and small business clients in remote settings where health, safety and security is our #1 priority. All duties are to be performed in accordance with NMS' mission, vision, and values. Responsibilities * Personally monitors and patrols either visually or electronically a variety of assigned buildings, areas, or grounds. * Permits only properly authorized individuals to enter the property. * Patrols premises and examines doors, windows, and gates to determine they are secure. * Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, etc. * Warns violators of rule infractions and may apprehend or expel violators. * Notifies on-site individuals of visitors wishing to see them. * Assists in properly responding to a variety of emergencies or disasters in order to preserve life and property. * Operates camp billeting and access control systems and maintains a list of visitors or authorized companies/personnel who are allowed access to various areas. * May check heating, lighting, sprinkling, security, ventilation, fire, etc., systems to make sure they are operational. * Provides transportation services using a variety of vehicles ranging from standard passenger vehicles to large passenger buses and off-road vehicles. * Provides emergency medical intervention including CPR, AED, and patient movement. * Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This is a rotational position with a 3-week on & 3-week off work scheduled, working twelve (12) hours per day, supporting the WNS Camp on the North Slope. The point of hire origin is Anchorage, AK. Responsibilities * Cleans, vacuums, mops, or restocks hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, kitchen areas or equipment, laundry rooms, clinics, living areas, work areas, off-site areas, common areas, restrooms, public areas, or other similar areas. * Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors. * Dusts both low and high areas. The Remote Camp Operations Manager is responsible for the overall performance management of their assigned area of responsibility which will include both Food Service and Housekeeping Departments. This Operations Manager will ensure NMS standards, policies and procedures are upheld, while building and maintaining healthy, effective relationships with clients, customers, and employees. The Remote Lead Maintenance Technician position carries out activities required to maintain and correct damage and make repairs to physical buildings, structures, and facilities. Additionally, this person will do a variety of work involving equipment use such as ladders and scissor lifts. This position is responsible for routine scheduled, unscheduled, preventative and emergency maintenance services for All Nome Public School facilities in Nome, AK. This Remote Janitor position provides a variety of laundry attending, cleaning services and other related duties required to keep remote industrial housing facilities, food service areas, office facilities, or similar areas in a clean and orderly condition. This position may expedite product, supplies and equipment from camp to camp. All duties are to be performed in accordance with NMS' mission, vision, and values as well as housekeeping policies, practices, and procedures. Responsibilities * Cleans, vacuums, mops, or restocks hallways, stairways, offices, food preparation or break areas, kitchen areas or equipment, laundry rooms, clinics, living areas, work areas, off-site areas, common areas, restrooms, public areas, or other similar areas * Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors * Dusts both low and high areas. Wipes down or cleans various surfaces * Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks * Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials * May compact trash Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas * Remove linen, towels, and trash from various areas * Restocks sleeping rooms and bathrooms, verifying that towels, sheets and blankets are available for each appropriate room * May require cleaning of indoor and/or outdoor smoking lounges * May change light bulbs and perform very light facility maintenance * May keep building entryways free of snow and debris * Participates in and supports corporate safety programs * Extensive driving with the possibility of foul weather conditions * Responsible for extensive transport and delivery of a variety of items to and from sites * Locates and distributes materials to specific areas manually or using handcart, hand truck and Tommy lift * Drive Box Van to outlying areas to deliver materials * Other related duties may also be assigned * Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications * A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. * At least one (1) year experience that evidences a working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes. * At least one (1) year experience in commercial housekeeping. * Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: background check and drug test. * As per contract requirements, must be a NANA Shareholder living in the NANA Region. * Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients. * Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision. * Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation. * Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp. * Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English. * Must meet and adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations set forth by the company and client. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Travel may require an employee or contractor to pass a TSA security checkpoint. This kitchen helper part time/on-call position is responsible for maintaining sanitation standards, performing a variety of cleaning, maintenance, food preparation, stocking, and serving duties in a commercial kitchen, storeroom, dinning, and serving area in remote camp locations. Responsibilities * Assists cooks and others as needed and coordinates activities within a food service area * Maintains a variety of products at certain levels in preparation, serving, or storage areas including service machines * Stocks various food service areas with various products and materials * Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans etc. and places in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner * Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment * Cleans, sweeps, wipes down, etc. all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas (in some cases), spike rooms, and equipment as well as all floors * Assists with various periodically scheduled large cleaning projects. * Removes garbage from assigned areas * Sets up, breaks down, and cleans tables, snack bars, display cases, serving lines, etc. * May occasionally prepare food or cook vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, meats, etc. * May also be combined with other position duties * Notify supervisor if safety and sanitation standards are not being met. * Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned. * This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
