We will be hiring hourly FT, PT, and Contract Construction Heavy Equipment Operators - TBD based on needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operating small/midsize/large heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, skip loaders, forklifts, mechanized trenchers, etc., for various construction projects involving demolition, earthwork, and underground utilities.
Performing pre- and post-operation inspections of heavy equipment in accordance with standard safety and company policy measures.
Monitoring and maintaining equipment, as needed throughout operation, to ensure proper performance and safety and to avoid down time.
Working closely with and under the direction of a crew lead/foreman/superintendent.
Performing general labor tasks, as needed, to support projects when operating heavy equipment is halted.
Ensuring that all field procedures and safety protocols are followed in compliance with company- and client-specific requirements.
Reporting to job sites as directed. Travel and work at remote locations requiring out-of-town stays for periods of a few days to several weeks at a time may be required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
5+ years of verifiable heavy equipment operating experience. Pay commensurate with knowledge, capabilities, and experience and skills on various types of equipment.
General equipment maintenance and repair knowledge required to assess and address malfunctions.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal communication and comprehension skills.

Compensation:
Compensation will be paid in the range of $172,000 - $209,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing scope, schedule, and budget for construction projects.
Communicating project performance effectively with project managers and/or project superintendents each day.
Reading construction plans, performing quantity takeoffs, and tracking daily execution progress.
Leading and overseeing equipment operators and laborers executing demolition, earthwork, and underground utility projects.
Assisting with building and scheduling crews by matching staff capabilities and availability to project needs.
Ensuring compliance with safety plans and project quality requirements.
Following project plans, specifications, field procedures, processes and safety protocols to comply with company-, and client-specific requirements and applicable regulations.
Interacting appropriately, responsibly, and positively with coworkers, client representatives, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors.
Consistently arriving on time, providing clear instructions, maintaining a positive attitude, actively collaborating with colleagues, assuming responsibility for all assigned tasks, and upholding company policies and ethical standards.
Resolving personnel- or project-related conflicts that may arise during the execution of work.
Operating heavy equipment or supporting general labor tasks, as needed, to maintain project progress when additional support is required.
Supporting management with non-project related initiatives aimed at improving construction operations.
Reporting to job sites as directed. Travel and work at remote locations requiring out-of-town stays for periods of a few days to several weeks at a time may be required.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
7+ years of demonstrated success leading construction crews as a foreman or other supervisory role. Pay commensurate with knowledge, capabilities, and experience.
Ability to safely and effectively manage a crew of 3 to 10 workers performing a variety of general construction activities.
Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal communication and comprehension skills.
Consistent professionalism and positivity.
Ability and willingness to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to pass pre-employment and annual physicals, including alcohol/drug screening.
Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
High school diploma or equivalent.
HAZWOPER 40-hour training preferred.
Experience operating various types of heavy equipment and performing a variety of labor tasks preferred.
