Admitting staff are responsible for assigning accurate MRNs, completing medical necessity / compliance checks, providing proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, receiving and processing physician orders, and providing excellent customer service. Additionally, managing Financial Service Representatives and ensuring that proper accounting processes are followed, cash drawer is balanced, money is deposited timely and posted accurately to patient accounts, and proper logs are completed and submitted as requested by Financial oversight departments. Collects, interprets and communicates performance data using various tools and systems, while also using this data to make decisions on how to achieve performance goals. Works closely with ancillary departments to establish and maintain positive relations to ensure revenue cycle goals are achieved. Assists in the development of dyad-reporting patient access staff.
