Life Care Centers of America facilities operate as Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that provide:
Long term care for residents who require ongoing skilled support and compassionate daily assistance
Short term, sub-acute rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, or injury
Collaborative care through an interdisciplinary team approach with nursing, therapy, and medical staff working together
A diverse patient population including individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs
Patient mix varies slightly by facility. As a therapy professional, you will help patients achieve functional progress and improve quality of life within a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Position Summary
The OT - Occupational Therapist provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
NBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward
Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Liaisons with patients, families, support departments, etc., to adequately plan for patient needs
Must demonstrate good body mechanics at all times

Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information

How you'll contribute
A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel.
Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications. Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

Looking Glass is hiring Social Service Assistants to join our Regional Crisis Center Programs!
As the RCC Social Service Assistant, you will schedule, coordinate, and supervise group activities at the RCC program. You will maintain consistency and safety among clients, observe and record behavior patterns, aid in service planning, and document necessary behaviors. You will help clients with skill-building and providing directions in performing daily housekeeping duties, chores, physical activity, recreation, hygiene, and school work. You will complete crisis intervention and de-escalate clients daily utilizing the crisis intervention techniques learned during training.

RCC, or the Regional Crisis Center, is a subacute residential facility where youth are placed directly from the Department of Human Services. RCC provides residential living facilities, mental health treatment, family counseling, substance use disorders treatment, and academic instruction to clients. RCC clients are often combative and have multiple mental or behavioral challenges. RCC uses verbal de-escalation tactics as well as treatments such as seclusion rooms and full-body restraints when necessary to ensure the safety of our clients.
Eligibility for a QMHA certification is preferred. You must have prior experience working with combative at-risk youth, preferably in a residential setting OR experience working in a challenging, high-paced environment that can be applicable to this line of work. The ability to maintain strong professional boundaries and confidentiality is a must. You must also be able to pass crisis intervention training within your first month of employment. The Regional Crisis Center uses specific manual restraints as specified by the state, and the ability to perform these restraints is essential to the position.

Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for an Assistant Football Coach-Offensive Coordinator. This person is responsible for providing coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach including promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Thurston High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. They are also responsible for guiding the program's offensive coaches by providing playbooks and leading coaches meetings. Required qualifications:
Varsity high school or college coaching experience;
All NFHS Required Certifications;
Pass the criminal background check.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience as a high school or college offensive coordinator;
Experience coaching the passing game; working with and/or directing quarterbacks; running backs or wide receivers;
Knowledge of OSAA rules and regulations.
Training:
Design, conduct and monitor countable athletically related activities per OSAA playing and practice regulations and department policy, including declaring the practice season, reporting weekly countable athletically related activities adhering to sport-specific rules regarding voluntary activities and sport-specific safety exceptions;
As a position or event specialist, evaluate student-athletes to identify strengths and deficiencies, and design instructional opportunities to improve technical and strategic execution based on sound motor learning and bio-mechanical principles;
Collaborate with the Head Coach to incorporate position specific learning opportunities into daily practice design. Communicate with all members of the program's coaching staff regarding the progress and training activities of the specific group of student-athletes charged with overseeing;
Assist in planning, conducting and supervising practice and conditioning sessions, as deemed appropriate;
Provide leadership during instructional sessions, utilize given discretion in guiding students through the learning experience via a variety of teaching strategies, and alter skills as needed to facilitate program needs;
Collaborate with the Head Coach, certified Athletic Trainers, and Strength and Conditioning Coach to design both academic year (in-season and out-of-season) and summer conditioning programs, encompassing recognized and approved methods of improving power, speed, strength and aerobic performance, consistent with industry safety and health standards;
May be responsible for producing manuals or electronic publications for summer conditioning, technical play books, and team handbooks;
Manage film exchange programs per conference game management manuals.
Competitions:
Scout opponent teams, collecting and analyzing tactical and statistical data, evaluating and editing game film, and designing game plans and strategies;
Attend coaches preparatory meetings to develop collaboratively determined coaching strategies for upcoming competitions, and to prepare the official game plan materials and game simulations for the student-athletes;
Manage team-related game day activities, including game-day practices, pre- or post-game meals;
Supervise and assign responsibilities to team manager(s) and video staff, when applicable;
Implement game plan, evaluate student-athletes' performances, give feedback as appropriate, and maintain statistics as is necessary;
Assume responsibility for game management in the absence of the Head Coach.
Public Relations & Fund-Raising:
Assist with/oversee the planning, coordination and execution of approved fund-raising activities;
Participate in the planning and management of program clinics and sports camp.
Other Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist with the development of schedules for practice and competition, as assigned;
Assist in or manage coordinating team travel arrangements;
Coordinate with the equipment manager to ensure the issuance of the necessary equipment and apparel for scheduled practices and competitive events;
In coordination with the equipment manager, monitor the condition of equipment and request repairs or replacement as necessary;
Assist with or manage awards (e.g. annual participation/letter awards, special achievement awards and post-season or championship awards);
Assist with the team's annual awards banquet;
Assist with the management of all aspects of football camps and team self-improvement programs;
Must understand and comply with all NFHS and OSAA rules and regulations at all times. Lack of compliance could result sanctions for the program;
Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
