The Banquet Set-Up team is responsible for the accurate and efficient arrangement, breakdown, and maintenance of all function rooms, public function areas, service corridors, and storerooms. This role ensures all spaces are kept clean, orderly, and safe, contributing to successful event execution and guest satisfaction.

Due to operational demands, shift days, start times, and weekly hours may vary.
Essential Job Functions
Set up and break down all meeting and banquet functions correctly and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of function spaces and storage areas at all times.
Return all equipment to designated storage areas, clean and in good condition, before end of shift.
Check all electrical hook-ups for safety and functionality; tape down any exposed cords.
Refresh meeting rooms during scheduled breaks.
Provide assistance to guests when possible, and refer any complex requests to a supervisor.
Perform regular deep cleaning of banquet areas.
Be knowledgeable about the different room setup configurations for each function space.
Ensure room temperature and lighting are properly adjusted and fully operational.
Possess basic knowledge of AV equipment and assist AV personnel or guests as needed.
Required Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
Previous labor-intensive work experience is preferred.
Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
High attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety.
Must be fluent in English.

NASCAR is looking for experienced event workers to join our LEO team at Kansas Speedway. Officers must be commissioned as an LEO in Wyandotte County Kansas.
Law Enforcement Officer (must currently work with a local municipality) provide visible Law Enforcement presence to guests and employees. LEO's will assist Guest Services and Security staff as requested by OIC and or Senior Manager of Event Operations at Kansas Speedway
Officers must be available to work shifts scheduled on race weekends, May 8th - 11th and September 25th - 28th.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Must be part KCKPD and or KCK Sheriffs department
Work with an approved Mutual Aid agency
Willingness to assist event staff as needed
Be present and seen by guests as well as event staff
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions

The host is a friendly and energetic team member. The host provides guests with their first and last impressions of Lapez Mod Mex. They are responsible for controlling the flow of the restaurant and for managing the waitlist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Genuinely welcome all guests into the restaurant as they walk in the door
Responsible for maintaining a presence at the host stand
Seat guests at tables by following a fair rotation and a floor chart set forth by the Manager on Duty (MOD)
Answering telephone calls and fulfilling those calls as necessary
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Lapez and its standards, procedures, products, and services
Manage the waitlist for the restaurant when necessary. Accurately quote wait times
Anticipate the guests needs or preferences by recognizing facial and indirect cues
Listen to guests, understand their needs and concerns, do your best to accommodate
Communicate openly, clearly, and positively to guests, co-workers, and managers
Maintain contact with the serving staff, kitchen staff, management and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed
Protect guests and the establishment by knowing and following sanitation, safety and alcohol control policies
Embrace the teamwork philosophy by striving to assist other team members
General and basic housekeeping duties around the restaurant including but not limited to sweeping floors and sidewalks, sanitizing seats, cleaning windows, stocking restrooms, etc.
Leave the guest with a positive message by acknowledging guests as they leave with a thank you and a smile
