Job Summary
As an Event Manager, you'll plan and execute special events, meetings, incentive travel, parties, award shows, charity functions and more for the Family of Companies.

Responsibilities
Work with internal clients to assess goals, timelines and budgets to produce outstanding events Solicit quotes for food/beverage selections and make arrangements for audiovisual service, transportation, travel, entertainment, decor, venue, etc.Propose theming, look and feel, and other event elements to clients Create planning cadence and timeline and provide ongoing updates to a team of planners, vendors, clients and leadership Develop detailed run-of-show documents for events, from load-in through show and load-out Oversee event expenses from quote through requisition/payment and tracking of expenses for reporting Source city locations, venues, travel, arrangements and other event elements for incentive trips and out-of-town events Manage registration process for events Manage volunteer workforce for events Handle stage management Collaborate with the Event Graphic Design team to produce various email communications, PowerPoint and Keynote presentations, registrations, post-event surveys and printed collateral for events Supervise Event Production interns

Primary function is to service any business with function space and food and beverage events, while increasing revenues and maximizing house profit. Provide input and direction in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, division operations and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability as well as meet and or exceed budgeted expectations as outlined.

+ Complete coordination of the Banquet & Catering Sales group functions; accurate and timely preparation of detailed Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes as necessary to ensure a common quality understanding of what the client is to receive in terms of products and services. Review function contracts prior to distribution to client and hotel staff.

+ Check function prior to guest arrival and make personal contact with client at the time of function with proper introduction of service staff who will handle the event.

+ Develop menus and pricing with the Executive Chef, Director of Events, Director of Catering and Director of Food & Beverage to produce trend setting, up-to-date banquet menus and guarantee high quality food with upscale presentation.

+ Develop pricing and market strategies with the Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Sales, Director of Events, Director of Catering, Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef; constant monitoring of competition and marketplace in general; must be prepared and able to react under fluctuating market conditions.

+ Meet or exceed predetermined booking goals for covers and revenue; meet or exceed budgeted costs and revenue on a monthly average with the liberty to negotiate as needed on individual functions within established guidelines yet maintaining the overall revenue goals.

+ Responsible for prompt handling and monitoring the efficient flow of paperwork relative to confirming function details to the client.

As Events Manager, you will be responsible for the successful event planning and overall execution of all Conference & Events that take place within the hotel\. The Events Manager will interact frequently with customers and Guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business\.
**What will I be doing?**

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Maximise all Meeting & Events Sales revenue opportunities through up selling of function items
+ Ensure the highest standards of Event Management are in place including building relationships with new/existing customers in order to secure rollover business
+ Manage the department's day\-to\-day operations and activities, whereas implementation of the selling strategy yields meetings and events space
+ Ensure the Meeting & Events Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
+ Build strong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members in order to gain full understanding of their needs and work to serve them effectively
+ Accurate administration and control of all Meetings and Events related reservations and blocks
+ To ensure that all Function Sheets are handed over the Food and Beverage Operations Team every week for the following 7\- 10 days outline and that all the information is accurate, confirmed and billing details documented and in line with the credit policy

+ Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
