About the Team and Role:
We are seeking a talented AI Engineer to join us in building Poe, an exciting new platform at the forefront of AI. You will work at the cutting edge of technology to develop the Poe's bot eco system with state of art AI algorithms as well as applications. This includes architecting performant and reliable and performant vibe coding applications, designing and building a scalable LLM model evaluation, and collaborating with our product team to build various personalized AI-driven user features.

Responsibilities:
Be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining cutting-edge applied LLM projects including but not limited to search result retrieval, recommender systems and multi-bot agents, ensuring smooth and engaging user experiences.
Participate in a wide variety of Applied AI activities, including refining and optimizing prompting, retrieval-augmented generation, etc to improve the outcome of LLM.
Continuously research and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and large language models, utilizing innovative techniques and methodologies to enhance our models.
Take end to end ownership of large and scalable machine learning systems - from data pipelines, feature engineering, candidate extraction, model training, as well as integration into our production systems.
Minimum Requirements:
Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's “coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
4+ years of experience writing Python
Strong foundation in data structures, ML algorithms, and software engineering principles
Proven track record of tech leading NLP/Search models to solve industry-scale problem
Proven track of strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify technical bottlenecks in complex systems
Deep understanding of large language model APIs, prompt engineering, and LLM workflow design
Comfortability taking projects from zero to one and owning the entire lifecycle, with a proactive approach to challenges
Previous experience tech leading complicated end to end machine learning systems
Experience with leading large-scale multi-engineer projects
BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field.
* 10+ years of experience in building large scale, distributed web platforms/APIs with 5+ years as an architect/technical lead responsible for the end to end product scope across multiple domains.

Qualifications:

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer
You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre-sales and account technical leadership. You will work closely with our Public Sector prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. Your technical expertise in Cloudflare's global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, to train and onboard new customers via video-conference or in person, create documentation, and to support the long-term technology strategy of the customer.
As a Public Sector SE you will need to have strong technical knowledge of both on premise security and networking implementations and public cloud initiatives common to US Public Sector customers.You are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare and will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product, through to Engineering and Customer Support.

Responsibilities
As critical members of Cloudflare's Public Sector Sales team, Solutions Engineers drive technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep our customers happy.
In business generation and expansion, you'll be tasked with qualification of prospect and customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demonstrations, solution identification and design, and collaborative work on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
For our existing customers, Solutions Engineers are part of a dedicated account team that advises the customer on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products and features, and strategic guidance.
The role is focused on our territory segment within SLED and as such may require some travel but the majority of engagement will be done via remote mechanisms. Generally, the role requires 30-40% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and to collaborate with your Cloudflare teammates.
Requirements
Demonstrated understanding in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7,Routing TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
Comfort with on premise infrastructure and networking configurations, including potential legacy systems or methodologies.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role (note: doesn't have to be in tech)

What you'll do as a Solutions Engineer
You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre-sales and account technical leadership. You will work closely with our Public Sector prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. Your technical expertise in Cloudflare's global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, to train and onboard new customers via video-conference or in person, create documentation, and to support the long-term technology strategy of the customer.

Responsibilities

In business generation and expansion, you'll be tasked with qualification of prospect and customer use cases, technical requirements discovery, leading demonstrations, solution identification and design, and collaborative work on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).
For our existing customers, Solutions Engineers are part of a dedicated account team that advises the customer on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products and features, and strategic guidance.
The role is focused on our territory segment within SLED and as such may require some travel but the majority of engagement will be done via remote mechanisms. Generally, the role requires 30-40% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, attend conferences and other industry events, and to collaborate with your Cloudflare teammates.
Requirements
Demonstrated understanding in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7,Routing TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
Comfort with on premise infrastructure and networking configurations, including potential legacy systems or methodologies.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role (note: doesn't have to be in tech)
