    What is the position? Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Associate for its Restructuring Team located in New York, NY. Evercore's unique market position provides Associates the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions in markets around the world. The small transaction team structure allows Associates a strong platform to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. What we look for in a candidate We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact to our clients by doing real, hands-on work. Successful Jefferies Summer Analysts are able to multitask and manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and relationship management skills together with strong technical, written and verbal communication skills. The work is fast paced, challenging and intellectually stimulating. The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, be adaptable and work both independently and as part of a team are essential traits of a successful candidate. You should have a strong academic background and be completing the junior year of a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent program. Although a background in accounting or finance can be helpful, we hire Summer Analysts who have studied a variety of disciplines. WORK WITH US - Opportunities Exist across Sales & Trading Equity Sales & Trading Jefferies' Equities department is a significant provider of liquidity, execution and underwriting expertise with over 700 Institutional Sales & Trading and Research professionals who focus on providing best in class trade execution, ideas and service to our clients. Summer Analysts gain valuable experiences across an array of Equities products. Summer analysts will participate in desk rotations which may include: Sales Trading, Trading, Research Sales, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Electronic Trading, Convertibles, Event Driven, and Desk Strategy.
