Role and Scope of Position: This position is responsible for leading analytical and technical support for the Asset Management organization. This includes collaboration with various stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements. Responsibilities include data analysis, development of new tools, reports, data management solutions, and processes to align strategy and vision across multiple regions. Essential Functions: Develops and manages data solutions to support Asset Management functions and ensures data solutions follow industry best practices and security standards. Identifies and leads initiatives to review new technologies to enhance equipment monitoring capabilities and interfaces with existing asset management tools and corporate systems. Collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure various business processes support the updating and management of the Asset Management tools. Implements industry best practices with respect to asset management tools for the tracking and monitoring of transmission lines and substation assets. Communicates effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and data-related issues. Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: Technical Knowledge/Skill: Knowledge of Transmission & Substation asset management, maintenance and/or operations. Working knowledge of information technology systems. Ability to create/manage Microsoft Access Databases, PowerBI reports, and associated programming languages (Visual Basic, SQL, .NET or similar programming ability) is highly desirable. Experience in using SQL server management studio is strongly preferred. Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science or the equivalent degree is required. Experience : A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required. Experience in Energy/Utility business, maintenance management systems, or information technology including database management and field hardware preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Must hold a valid motor vehicle license. Working Conditions: Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required. Role and Scope of Position: Under general direction this position has the primary responsibility for ensuring that the Eversource Business Strategy for the capital program is optimally developed to provide the highest levels of system reliability at lowest possible costs. The Eversource business strategy will also need to consider the regulatory environment. Specific responsibilities include assistance developing coordinated programs and budgets, identifying process improvements with respect to development, approval, and management of projects, providing input to the prioritization of the capital programs, and developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with other functions. The successful candidate will also benchmark Eversource's asset performance relative to the industry. Essential Functions: Capital Program Development: * Provides input to the development of the capital program budget. * Assists with identifying, initiating, and prioritizing programs for inclusion in the one-year and five-year Capital Budget Plan. * Works with Engineering, Project Management, and Cost Estimating to develop detailed program and project level scope, cost, and schedule. * Assists facilitation of an interdisciplinary project team to select the best solution, document alternatives analysis, and presents project approval justifications to the Solution Design Committee and/or Eversource Project Approval Committee. Substation Equipment Performance: * Assists with development of operational strategies for the utilization of asset resources, considering asset life cycle planning and risk analysis. * Analyzes Substation reliability, including goal setting, reporting, and System Operations Review Committee activities. * Assists with development of and issuance of system performance measures; identifies gaps and opportunities for future program and project performance improvements. * Assists with implementation and support of tri-state processes for consistent collection and management of asset data * Performs asset data analysis to support Asset Management strategies and equipment replacement programs. * Communicates the Asset Management strategy throughout Eversource and to external parties as necessary. Benchmarking: * Facilitates Substation benchmarking efforts * Identifies best practices and opportunities for future program improvement. * Oversees the development of asset strategies, tools, and procedures for managing Substation assets Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: Technical Knowledge/Skill: * Knowledge of substation power system planning, engineering, maintenance, and operations. * Strong background in process improvement. * A combination of strong technical knowledge and business acumen. * Understanding of the New England Regulatory environment and the impact for the Business. * Ability to interpret and analyze financial documents. * Ability to understand and utilize economic, financial, and industry data to accurately diagnose business strengths and weaknesses, identify key issues, and develop strategies and plans. * Working knowledge of information technology and use of Eversource's office automation and information systems. * Ability to enhance internal and external customer satisfaction. * Strong communication skills, including the ability to make formal presentations and translate technical information into terms that are meaningful to the audience. * Ability to develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. * Ability to create/manage Microsoft Access Databases, Microsoft Excel databases and associated user interfaces (visual basic, SQL or similar programming ability) is highly desirable. Join the power movement as a Senior Technical Project Manager We are seeking an exceptional and results-driven Technical Project Manager (TPM) to join our Program Management Office (PMO). The TPM will play a pivotal role in driving complex engineering projects within SPARC, our first-of-a-kind compact fusion machine.
