Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for implementing the integrated master schedule and resource plan for all Substation/Transmission and Distribution Capital, Maintenance and Reliability Projects under the responsibility of Electric Operations. Provides master scheduling for district operations, Vegetation and Conduit, Substation Operations or Major Projects. Responsible for the overall data integrity and adherence to scheduling standards. Maintains cost templates, activity models and historical data to provide accurate estimates and forecasts. Works with district/substation management and Centralized Resource Planning to ensure that the required workload is completed in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Adheres to prescribed timeframes for all capital, maintenance and compliance workload to maximize the productivity of district/substation operations. Responsible for monitoring district performance through utilization analyses. Participates in the supervisory on-call rotation.
At the Senior Supervisor level, in addition to the above, responsibilities include:
• Serves as the local technical lead or coach for other supervisors
• Develops and provides coaching to other supervisors in various aspects of their role
• Authorizes re-allocation of resources in situations where conflicting priorities exist

Essential Functions:
Maintains and implements the master work schedules for district operations, Vegetation and Conduit, Substation Operations or Major Projects.
Maintains data for the global templates used to create schedules and forecasts of future resource requirements. Tracks historical costs and durations for continuous improvement of work plan estimates.
Works with the Senior Scheduling Supervisors and district/substation management to provide contingency plans for rebalancing the workload.
Monitors current and future workload to ensure district plans and schedules maximize productivity, control costs and meet or exceeds service level agreements (SLA's).
Monitors district performance through analysis of manpower utilization and workload trends and productivity. Keeps district/substation management informed of results.
Identifies, develops and implements work process and best practices for overall planning and scheduling.
Responsible for the integrity of data input into work management systems and operating databases
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Assists with implementing the assigned region's emergency response plan as required, and assists at Area Work Center satellites and other regional operation centers during emergency storm restoration as assigned;
Maintains the electric model in the outage management system to reflect real-time system status;
Individual must be able to quickly recognize emergency situations and take prompt, appropriate actions with limited or no supervision. Individual will also be required to efficiently coordinate emergency actions with other vested parties such as Federal, State, and Municipal partners along with other utilities.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Requires a working knowledge of all transmission and distribution network equipment and vehicles, work practices and procedures, construction and material standards, as well as safety, regulatory and design codes.
Requires a demonstrated knowledge in training and development concepts, theories, practices and principals using a Systematic Approach to Training.
Education:
Associates degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience. Combined education and experience can be used as a substitute.
Experience
:
Zero (0) to five (5) years of related electrical utility experience is required.
Individual must be able to function under stressful emergency situations for extended periods of time;
Thorough knowledge of the switching and tagging procedures; a thorough knowledge of Electric Distribution System operations;
Thorough knowledge of applicable PC-based and mainframe applications;
Ability to communicate and work effectively with various levels of the organization and others involved with Electric Operations;
Ability to analyze electric distribution system problems and act accordingly
Licenses & Certifications:
Must successfully pass all required pre-employment assessments.
Working Conditions:
Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
This position will require 24/7 shift rotation coverage.
