REQUIREMENTS * A business degree (bachelors), or at least an associates degree and equivalent combination of education, with a minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience supporting leadership at or above Director level. Experience with technical and / or engineering topics is preferred. * This position requires the incumbent to be flexible and ready to work with management on short notice, with minimal impact on day-to-day tasks and priorities. This requires application of strategic thinking, planning, and organization skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required to interface with executive and senior internal and external contacts, outside groups/agencies, and Evonik international offices in a courteous, highly professional, and effective manner. Composes and edits letters, memoranda, reports, and presentations; generates and revises correspondence and handles processing of a variety of documentation. Process Technician Process Technicians operate equipment in assigned areas of the plant and perform operations related activities per the work process. They utilize chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner. One Process Technician could be placed in our Gulf Cost Pipeline team. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the technical reliability of the plant and equipment for multiple production units and in coordination of the Production Superintendents. Ensures regulatory compliance of the technical installations, maintenance practices and the technical documentation. Develops maintenance strategies and process improvements for multiple plants. REQUIREMENTS • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is required. A Master's degree is a plus. • 5-10+ years of general chemical industry experience required. •Must have broad based skills in engineering and maintenance as well as planning and organizing. •Must possess the theoretical technical knowledge combined with the analytical thinking and practical experience to effectively manage the Smart Effects process.
