Job Responsibilities: Works within the organization to successfully execute multi-year, multi-million dollar transmission & distribution construction projects. Drives projects through to completion, meeting scope, schedule, and budget. Follows project management standards and protocols for successfully executing projects, including project schedules, cash flows, work breakdown structures/activities, stakeholder management, and risk identification/mitigation. Coordinates activities across internal and external stakeholders, including system planning, engineering, supply chain, environmental, operations and others as required. Ensures project activities and key project milestones are on time and completed as scheduled. Works to resolve conflicts and mitigate risks. Works with the engineering team and supply chain to develop specifications and scopes of work for all contracted activities, including labor, material, and equipment procurement. Ensures any contracted work is completed per specifications and resulting contracts and purchase orders. Negotiates final scopes of work with the supply chain and minimizes any change orders. Works with the Construction Management team to execute construction activities efficiently meeting project scope, schedule, and budget. Manages the collection and tracking of all costs associated with the portfolio of projects. Responsible for reviewing incurred costs and commitments and forecasting inter-year and intra-year project costs. Provides monthly detailed cost breakdown for project meetings and PMO reporting. Defines material requirements. Interfaces with Procurement to assist with procurement of materials/inventory for cost development and operational readiness. Experience Desired: 3-5 years of project management and construction management of multi-million dollar projects. Experience with electric utility projects preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. PMP is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize tasks in a continually changing environment. Basic understanding of contracting approaches for engineering and construction activities. Ability to recognize and manage owner's risk related to the successful completion of a project. Expert knowledge of purchasing policies and vendor selection criteria and processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP. Familiar with Oracle P6 and Copperleaf C55. Job Summary RM conducts Well Plugging and Abandonment (P&A) services in three specific areas: **bpx:** legacy wells in continental US under the attached Service Level Agreement (SLA) . These legacy wells relate to previous operations or commitments linked to companies like Amoco, ARCO, Vastar, BHP Petrohawk, etc., and are not actively managed by bpx. On an annual basis, RM generally plugs and abandons between 5 and 8 wells of varying complexity. Scope of work may also include dismantling of abandoned infrastructure associated with the well field. **bp Canada:** legacy P&A investigation into leaking well notices from regulators and, if needed, P&A services for bp Canada under the attached bp Canada SLA. The role would consult with and advise in-country liability manager. **Alaska:** Legacy exploration wells (and associated environmental matters) outside the bpxa sale to Hillcorp. At present, there are only two active regulatory directives for P&A and environmental/reclamation work; Foggy Island Bay State #1 (completed in 2024) and Gubc Unit No 1 (work to start in winter 2025/2026). There are approximately 65 well sites with known bp heritage company ties. As the Alaska sale to Hillcorp was completed in 2020, residual P&A and environmental scope were assigned to RM. RM is working to firm up governance on this process thru the Wells organization. Legacy wells present distinct difficulties. These wells are aged and have been inactive for extended periods, with frequently inadequate or non-existent drilling and plugging records. They are typically situated in remote areas, on third-party owned property and may be built with unconventional/unknown casing and cements designs. The RM Legacy Wells Specialist manages all aspects of legacy well plugging and abandonment (P&A). This includes collaborating with BP Legal and the RM Land and Legal Team to confirm BP's responsibility for P&A, coordinating with land agents to secure site access, communicating with landowners and regulatory agencies, planning project activities, selecting and hiring contractors, overseeing P&A operations, handling demolition and removal of existing structures such as tanks and pipelines, and completing site restoration. A detailed list of specific responsibilities is provided below. Job Responsibilities * Ensure that the mechanical and cement plugs are correctly positioned and installed properly to serve as reliable long-term barriers . * Oversee contractor performance, scope, and service quality for well abandonment and decommissioning to ensure cost-effectiveness * Prepare all decision support documents (DSP) according to the Project Common Process guidelines. Job Summary RM conducts Well Plugging and Abandonment (P&A) services in three specific areas: **bpx:** legacy wells in continental US under the attached Service Level Agreement (SLA) . These legacy wells relate to previous operations or commitments linked to companies like Amoco, ARCO, Vastar, BHP Petrohawk, etc., and are not actively managed by bpx. On an annual basis, RM generally plugs and abandons between 5 and 8 wells of varying complexity. Scope of work may also include dismantling of abandoned infrastructure associated with the well field. **bp Canada:** legacy P&A investigation into leaking well notices from regulators and, if needed, P&A services for bp Canada under the attached bp Canada SLA. The role would consult with and advise in-country liability manager. **Alaska:** Legacy exploration wells (and associated environmental matters) outside the bpxa sale to Hillcorp. At present, there are only two active regulatory directives for P&A and environmental/reclamation work; Foggy Island Bay State #1 (completed in 2024) and Gubc Unit No 1 (work to start in winter 2025/2026). There are approximately 65 well sites with known bp heritage company ties. As the Alaska sale to Hillcorp was completed in 2020, residual P&A and environmental scope were assigned to RM. RM is working to firm up governance on this process thru the Wells organization. Legacy wells present distinct difficulties. These wells are aged and have been inactive for extended periods, with frequently inadequate or non-existent drilling and plugging records. They are typically situated in remote areas, on third-party owned property and may be built with unconventional/unknown casing and cements designs. The RM Legacy Wells Specialist manages all aspects of legacy well plugging and abandonment (P&A). This includes collaborating with BP Legal and the RM Land and Legal Team to confirm BP's responsibility for P&A, coordinating with land agents to secure site access, communicating with landowners and regulatory agencies, planning project activities, selecting and hiring contractors, overseeing P&A operations, handling demolition and removal of existing structures such as tanks and pipelines, and completing site restoration. A detailed list of specific responsibilities is provided below. Job Responsibilities * Ensure that the mechanical and cement plugs are correctly positioned and installed properly to serve as reliable long-term barriers . * Oversee contractor performance, scope, and service quality for well abandonment and decommissioning to ensure cost-effectiveness * Prepare all decision support documents (DSP) according to the Project Common Process guidelines. You will possess a technical skill set that enables accurate interpretation of utility feedback and an understanding of the implications on development, engineering, and construction efforts. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Represent New Leaf as the primary point of contact for all utility communications; Leadership of all utility interactions and meetings, including conflict resolutions; Lead interconnection due diligence and research for new market entry (process implementation, dynamic entrepreneurial problem solving, and relationship building); Create and maintain utility/region-specific project management infrastructure, trackers, reports, and other project management tools to assist in the development strategy; Owning the full interconnection lifecycle. Interpret and organize utility requirements and feedback; synthesize and communicate risks to the cross-functional members of the development team; Proactively monitor utility performance to identify risks to the critical path, autonomously escalate issues, and negotiate positive outcomes; Serve as the interconnection process subject matter expert (utility behavior/tariff guidelines) for the development team, and act as an internal consultant to assist with strategic decision-making; Handle project-level disputes and successfully negotiate positive outcomes with utilities; Identify opportunities for improvement, and lead the implementation of countermeasures; Own the interconnection application submittal packages, coordinating with internal cross-functional teams and external consultants; Own cash flow forecasting (payment amounts, target/due dates, and required form of payment), which will require a strong understanding of financial accounting, cost-benefit analysis, and utility payment policies. ; Understand and apply continuous improvement tools, value stream mapping, and change management; Evaluate, onboard, and manage 3rd party consultants; Develop and maintain a consistent record as each project navigates the interconnection process lifecycle; Coordinate signatures, approvals, payments for applications, impact studies, and interconnection agreements. Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills): + Minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required. + PMP certification (preferred). + Minimum of 2 years of project management experience in commercial or industrial construction. + Minimum 2 years of supervisory/management experience of teams/crews. + Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.). + OSHA 30 (if you do not have a valid certification, we will make arrangements for you to obtain the required training). Job Duties and Responsibilities: + Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. + Create, maintain, and follow a construction schedule assigning appropriate personnel to complete the project on schedule and within budget. + Determine and advise as appropriate on all local laws concerning items such as landfills, carting companies, local mechanical codes and permitting. + Ensure safety practices are followed and the work is performed in a safe productive manner. + Possess the ability to efficiently manage multiple energy efficiency projects concurrently. + Prepare and deliver performance evaluations for project foremen and technicians; when appropriate, discipline, train, and/or counsel assigned personnel. + Maintain effective communications at all levels; to include internal and external resources. This will include timely updates to clients, PowerSecure Executives, sub-contractors, agents of code enforcement/permitting, engineers, architects, and employees across various trades. + Manage subcontractors per contractually requirements, both internally and onsite. + Manage a clean and safe work site; cleaning construction areas at the end of the day, proper recycling procedures, and waste disposal in accordance with local ordinances. + Walk project sites before starting installation to identify any specialized equipment required and account for work scheduled accordingly. + Verify the correctness and quality of the work being performed, ensure it fulfills or exceeds customer expectations. + Accurately monitor, track, and maintain records/reporting of all materials utilized and remaining. + Maintain accurate documentation and ensure deliverables are executed in a timely manner. + Must be prepared to procure storage facilities for project materials and equipment. + Create and Maintain Project Risk Plans + Oversee Project Quality Assurance Requirements. + Typical project value is 100K to 5M Physical Demands and Work Environment: + Climbing (ladders), kneeling, reaching, balancing, lifting (up to 40 pounds regularly), working overhead. + May be required to stand for extended periods of time and negotiate uneven terrain. + Environment can vary greatly including indoors and outdoors in various climates including conditioned and unconditioned spaces. Work with field management, trade contractors, and suppliers to manage schedules, project progress, material deliveries, and ensure timely completion of project objectives. Perform routine inspections of the project to ensure compliance with scope, production, safety standards, codes, and company policies. Provide well-informed and accurate cost and labor projections, ensuring adherence to contract documents and specifications. Review and interpret plans, shop drawings, and project documents for all trades involved. Oversee subcontracts by monitoring performance for conformance to contract agreements. Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with managers, supervisors, fellow workers, vendors, and customers.
