We are seeking a driven Development Associate to support the full lifecycle of commercial and multifamily real estate projects from acquisition through construction and stabilization. This role is perfect for someone with 1-4 years of experience who wants hands-on exposure to underwriting, entitlements, project management, and investor reporting in a fast-growing development firm.
Key Responsibilities:
Underwrite new acquisition and development opportunities: pro formas, cash flow modeling, ROI/IRR analysis, and sensitivity scenarios in Excel/Argus.
Coordinate due diligence (title, survey, environmental, zoning) and manage entitlement/permitting processes with local municipalities.
Prepare investment memorandums, presentations, and financial packages for lenders, equity partners, and internal approvals.
Track project budgets, schedules, and draw requests; update monthly reports for ownership and investors.
Assist in sourcing and negotiating land purchases, joint-venture agreements, and construction contracts.
Support construction oversight: review pay applications, change orders, and coordinate with GCs, architects, and engineers.
Manage closing checklists and transition projects to property management at stabilization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's a plus).
1-4 years of real estate development, investment, or underwriting experience (commercial or multifamily focus preferred).
Advanced Excel modeling skills (pro formas, waterfall returns, Argus experience a strong plus).
Working knowledge of zoning, entitlements, and construction draw processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal teams and external partners.

Position Summary:

Viam's products are built by engineers, for engineers. We want to build a platform we would want to use ourselves. We are looking for students studying computer science or related fields to collaborate with our full-time engineers on building out the software for our platform. Our current tech stack consists of Golang (backend), ES.Next/TypeScript/Svelte/Vue.js (frontend), Linux, MongoDB (database), and a variety of hardware. This is a software engineering internship, not hardware.
You'll be:
Working across the stack on the new and unique problems in robotics and cloud computing
Fully integrated with the full-time engineering team
Using state of the art technologies that best tackle our problems at hand
Learning engineering best practices in real-world production environments
Playing with robotics hardware to test out the software we build
We're looking for someone who:
In the process of receiving a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field, with at least one additional term after the end of the internship
Available to intern in person at our New York City office for 10-12 weeks during the summer of 2026
Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, architecture and/or robotics
Experience with various programming languages

At Lynk, there are a variety of opportunities available. Software Engineering Intern positions are available to students who are enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate-level degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or another relevant STEM-field. You will be responsible for working both autonomously and collaboratively working on actual space and telecommunications/software/hardware development projects. Since Lynk is responsible for the design, build, test, and operation of satellites through the full life cycle, intern engineers will be exposed to every phase of what is involved in getting satellites on orbit and flying them. We seek multidisciplinary technical talent to support the design and testing of more than just one of our spacecraft systems including Mechanical, Electrical, Communications, Flight Control, Command & Data Handling, and Flight Software, etc.
Qualifications
The qualifications for Lynk Interns are
Enrolled in at least a bachelor's degree or Masters or PhD in a STEM-related program.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment, accomplishing tasks with limited resources at a rapid pace.
Growing skill level using Windows and Linux OS, and proficiency with some other technical software package or programming.
