The Haven Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Excavation Operator to join our Commercial Division in the installation and repair of sewer, water, and storm lines. This is a year-round role requiring expertise in operating heavy equipment and managing site utility installations. What you'll do: Operate company provided backhoes, track hoes, skid loaders, and dump trucks with an emphasis placed in site safety, personal safety, and equipment maintenance. Install and assist in the installation of water lines, gas lines, and sewer lines as per city/state specifications. The ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests required for CDL drivers per DOT standards. Thorough knowledge of all phases of job safety relative to excavation and equipment used in excavation applications: Safe driving techniques Safe traffic control in work areas Confined space entry procedures Trench Safety Safe excavation includes digging around utilities. Safe use of water hoses under pressure Safe use of vacuum hoses and tubing under vacuum Employees must be able to pass pre-employment screening including a criminal background check, motor vehicle check and drug screening. Maintaining eligibility to operate company vehicles is a fundamental job requirement. All employees that operate company vehicles must maintain their driving record as insurable under the company's vehicle insurance provider. Salary Description Up to $40 per hour

This supply company is offering immediate, full-time positions for Excavator Operators. You will operate an excavator with a mobile shear attached, as well as other heavy equipment, handle some demolition work, and perform some material handling in the warehouse. Work hours are first shift from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Primary Position Duties: * Operate directional drills, mini-excavators, and other equipment to install UG plant facilities. * Set up job equipment and reel trailers proficiently. * Perform utility exposes (potholing) and understand the utility locate process. * Locate other utilities as needed and maintain clearances from other utilities, ground, road, highway, sidewalk, and non-pedestrian areas. * Transport, handle, and place conduits (rolled and stick) in a proper manner. * Properly transport and install fiber reels. * Install fiber cables in conduits following proper procedures. * Set and secure pedestals and vaults accurately. * Read and interpret network prints. * Adhere to OSHA safety requirements to ensure safe and efficient completion of the job(s). * Maintain regular phone communication throughout the workday. * Follow directions provided by the crew leader. * Perform any other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: Working Conditions: * The employee will primarily work in the field. * The job requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. * Exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels may occur. Travel: * Travel to other project sites in different states may be required to assist with new project start-ups. * Travel may be for up to a 14-day period Education or Skills: * Previous experience operating directional drills is required. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Combination of technical training and/or relevant experience. * Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred. * Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. * Flexibility to work nights and weekends, if necessary. * Ability to work in all weather conditions. * Valid driver's license. * Authorized to work in the United States. * Must pass drug, background, Department of Transportation (DOT), and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screenings.
