    Job Description General: Inspects, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical and instrumentation for production and process equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications. Minimizes production downtime and provides plant support in the areas of equipment, processes, facilities, environmental, utilities, energy, regulatory compliance and maintenance. Performs all assigned as a member of a flexible work team. Performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Preferred candidates will be trained in and be knowledgeable of NFPA 70E requirements, motivated, positive, energetic, and flexible in working days or nights and will have a working knowledge of process equipment, control systems, values, drive components, electrical distribution systems, pumps, piping systems and troubleshooting techniques which must be gained through a combination of experience and on the job training. RESPONSIBILTIES: Performs duties as assigned, complies with all safety regulations and practices and follows specific directions. The tasks associated with this position include but are not limited to: Ability to inspect, test, repair, and maintain electric power distribution equipment (480VAC/4160VAC), Motors and Controls (480 VAC/4160VAC), AC/DC Drives (480VAC/4160VAC), instruments and sensors, burner/boiler controls, PLC programming (ControlLogix) HMI (Operator interface) programming, process computers, controls network (Ethernet, DeviceNet). Inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical and instrumentation parts of process flows, machinery, and mechanical equipment such as pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic systems and values, hydraulic systems and values, conveyor systems, flow meters and gauges. Ability to read an interpret P&ID’s wiring and circuit diagrams. Ability to read and examine blueprints, engineering drawings, and process and instrument diagrams. Performing predictive and preventive electrical maintenance functions. Performing basic trouble shooting and taking appropriate actions. Performing testing, adjustments calibrations and servicing activities. Inspecting, repairing, replacing and optically aligning A/C electric motors and A/C, D/C drive systems. Ensuring that distributive control systems are aligned and calibrated so panel operators can rely on process adjustments including manual and automatic. Inspecting, repairing and resetting voltages. Setting and calibrating safety limit controls, relief devices, check values, and electrical equipment for temperature, pressure, flow rate, levels voltage, and current according to service manuals, schematic diagrams or process and instrumentation diagrams. Setting and calibrating sensors and warning alarms for various hazardous airborne contaminants. Starting machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
