Job Description
Well-established physical therapy outpatient practice is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Front Office Patient Representative to join our dedicated front office team in our Bozeman office located at 1823 W. College Street. Full time position with approximate hours 10:30am-6:30pm, Monday thru Friday. Occasional shift coverage for other front office team members with advanced notice and planning. Occasional vacation coverage needed for our Manhattan clinic location front office.
The role of this very important team position is to welcome our clients graciously and provide excellent customer service and communications. Key focus areas are greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, reviewing and data-entry of registration documents, answering phone calls, collecting patient responsibility payments, coordinating insurance verification and authorization with payers, accounts receivable tasks, preparing and organizing patient charts, coordination of patient accounts, and reminder phone calls. Due to current COVID-19 precaution protocols, the person in this role screens patients with a verbal questionnaire and temperature check before in office appointments. PPE is provided to staff and is in line with CDC protocols. Support the medical team and help to direct our office support team in their cleaning and organizing duties, possible occasional light laundry and light cleaning of office and equipment, supply inventory tracking, plus any other projects or tasks from the team. We offer sit/stand desks for front office team members to provide for a more active work environment.
Qualifications

How you'll contribute
A Physical Therapist who excels in this role:
Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.
Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.
Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.

Serve as a liaison between patients and their families to help ensure they understand clinical medical information being provided to them by their primary care physician or specialist.
Finding community resources for transportation, meals on wheels, respite care and non-emergent transport.
Assisting patients with maintaining or obtaining insurance, as well as applying for financial aid. This includes interface with the VA, SSI, Medicare, Medicaid and Private Insurance, Personal assistance.
Assist families with the grieving process after loss of a loved one.
Provide families with appropriate resources available to assist with bereavement, support services and grief counseling.
Medical Social Workers assist with:
Nursing home or assisted living placement to facilitate a safe care plan and meet the medical needs for patients that no longer can remain in their home.
Assist with transfers to outside hospices.
Coordinate with other medical facilities to ensure DME is available and or emergency services if traveling.
Coordinates with the hospice chaplain to arrange faith based support for patients during end of life.
Qualifications: Minimum of a masters degree in social work from an institution accredited by the Council on Social Work. Preferably be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. At least one year social work experience in a healthcare setting required. Knowledge of acute, chronic disease, and terminal illness preferred. Experience in community-based programs, home health and/or hospice preferred.

Ability to work effectively as a health care team member.

Scope
As an Occupational Therapist you need to know how to:
Evaluate a patient upon initial encounter to determine need for occupational therapy intervention and make referrals to other treatment team members as deemed appropriate.
Plan occupational therapy treatment program for each patient, based upon interpretation of evaluation results; interpret evaluation findings for patient, family, and treatment team members.

Job Description
Well-established physical therapy outpatient practice is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Front Office Patient Representative to join our dedicated front office team in our Bozeman office located at 1823 W. College Street. Full time position with approximate hours 10:30am-6:30pm, Monday thru Friday. Occasional shift coverage for other front office team members with advanced notice and planning. Occasional vacation coverage needed for our Manhattan clinic location front office.
The role of this very important team position is to welcome our clients graciously and provide excellent customer service and communications. Key focus areas are greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments, reviewing and data-entry of registration documents, answering phone calls, collecting patient responsibility payments, coordinating insurance verification and authorization with payers, accounts receivable tasks, preparing and organizing patient charts, coordination of patient accounts, and reminder phone calls. Due to current COVID-19 precaution protocols, the person in this role screens patients with a verbal questionnaire and temperature check before in office appointments. PPE is provided to staff and is in line with CDC protocols. Support the medical team and help to direct our office support team in their cleaning and organizing duties, possible occasional light laundry and light cleaning of office and equipment, supply inventory tracking, plus any other projects or tasks from the team. We offer sit/stand desks for front office team members to provide for a more active work environment.
Qualifications
Our desired candidate is fun and professional who will strive to provide a friendly and compassionate atmosphere for our clients and our fellow team members while seeing that our busy office is productive and organized. We are looking for a long-term employment relationship. Our team is health-oriented and we have a non-smoking environment. Preferred candidates will already be a resident of Gallatin Valley. Training is available, however medical front office experience is preferred.
