We are presently seeking a Production Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities in the optics production department. This role involves ensuring that production goals are met in a timely, cost-effectively, and high-quality manner. The supervisor will also work closely with the production team, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
Main responsibilities:
* Lead, coach, and mentor the production team through Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings, ensuring clear communication of priorities, performance, and improvement opportunities.
* Supervise daily production operations to ensure on-time delivery, adherence to quality standards, and efficient workflow across the optics manufacturing line.
* Build and sustain a strong team culture by actively supporting employee development, recognizing performance, and promoting open communication and collaboration.
* Train, coach, and guide team members on safety procedures, standard operating protocols (SOPs), and technical skills to ensure a safe and competent workforce.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards; foster a safety-first mindset within the team.
* Monitor production KPI, analyze performance trends, and take proactive actions to maintain or exceed targets.
* Champion continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements that improve quality, efficiency, and team engagement
* Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate cross-functional support to minimize downtime.
* Oversee equipment functionality, coordinate routine maintenance, and escalate technical issues as needed.
* Prepare and present production updates and reports to management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and improvement plans.
* Lead by example - modeling company values, ethical standards, and professional behavior at all times.
* Performs other duties as required to support team and business objectives.
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field is a plus)
* 2+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in optics or manufacturing
* Ability to lead a team, solve problems, and make quick decisions.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Basic knowledge of optical material, processes, and equipment (desired)
* Strong understanding of production processes, safety protocols, and quality control.

We are presently seeking a Fabrication Technician that will perform various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements.
Main responsibilities:
Performs basic shaping process steps on simple to medium-difficult parts.
Beveling - cup and straight line
Blocking - standard (multiple parts on the same block) wax blocking, which includes the ability to choose the correct type of tooling
Edging - standard edging tasks up to .001 tolerance
Milling - standard milling tasks
Sawing - KLE cut-off type operations
Grinding - to include continuous and double side
May assist with pouring lap
Inspects and cleans parts
Basic reading and comprehension of work instructions and prints for basic dimensions
Mathematics - Using basic mathematics to calculate…..
Measurement skills include: calipers, drop gauges, micrometers, comparators, measuring microscope (Z scope), spherometer
Requirements:

Purpose
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the achievement of sales targets, design win capture, and revenue growth focused on customers in the Life Science and Medical markets in North America.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will ensure the execution of revenue and design wins for the LSM North America business. This individual must be able to sell strategically and thrive in a cross-functional team environment. Specifically, this individual will:
Be responsible for growing sales territory/accounts with assigned revenue, bookings and NPI (design-win) targets. Drive attainment of sales, profit and market share objectives;
Effectively manage accounts. Develop an intimate knowledge of strategic accounts. Provide strategic oversight and engage additional company resources as necessary. Develop deep customer relationships from working level to senior levels. Develop & execute detailed account growth plans. Provide ongoing customer support and ensure customer satisfaction;
Effectively lead negotiations with customers and close deals within company guidelines. Contribute to development of contractual agreements with customers;
Manage and grow prospect pipeline (funnel). Actively drive existing prospects to successful closure mobilizing internal resources for support as necessary. Continue to add new prospects to meet growth targets / design-win objectives;
Generate leads through proactive business development activity. Follow up on assigned leads. Document a thorough and detailed qualification of all leads;
Drive channel partner activity within the sales territory by actively supporting and performance managing channel partners. Play a key role in driving, evaluating, managing, and refining the distributor / channel partner relationships;
Develop and deliver strategic sales presentations, formulating and articulating value proposition.
Maintain knowledge and expertise in relevant products and markets; monitor competitive activity and market trends; partner with Product Management & Applications Engineering to develop strategic and tactical response;
Serve as initial point of contact on issues within the region; coordinate evaluation and input by appropriate functional colleagues;
Support core business processes including the monthly & quarterly operating reviews, annual operating planning, monthly forecast reviews, prospect pipeline reviews, sales reporting, and expense management.
Critical Success Factors
Technical Skills: Bachelor's degree in engineering or life sciences desirable;
Sales Skills: Strong customer orientation. Must be able to manage extensive sales processes in complex customer organizations. Several years of sales experience with demonstrated knowledge of OEM sales;
Communication Skills: Strong leadership presence with an ability to develop and deliver targeted presentations at all levels within an organization. Demonstrated interpersonal savvy with proven ability to build effective relationships throughout all levels internally and externally;
Leadership and Management of Resources: Demonstrated ability to be effective within a cross-functional environment. Expertise motivating others toward the achivement of objectives;
Business & Organization Knowledge: Understands Excelitas business and core processes;

We are presently seeking a Quality Engineer that be responsible for coordinating customer quality assurance requirements into company quality management processes and deliverables.
Main responsibilities:
Support a culture of collaboration, compliance, and respect.
Monitor the effectiveness of in-process quality requirements and inspection plans to ensure the delivered product always conforms to all customer requirements.
Participate in interdisciplinary teams in quality improvement projects.
Participate in the development of failure modes and effects analyses, and in designing improvements to address high risk priority numbers.
Perform measurement systems analyses and use the results to design improvements.
Participate in root cause analysis of quality problems in manufacturing.
Under supervision, respond to customer complaints, prepare and implement corrective actions and update the customer on progress and outcomes.
Work with suppliers to improve delivered quality.
As part of an audit team, serve as an internal auditor for compliance with ISO 9001. Training available.
Requirements:
Ability & willingness to learn the duties and responsibilities under direct supervision and mentorship.
Bachelor of science in math, engineering, or physical science. May substitute 7 years' experience in quality management systems in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in statistics and SPC preferred.
Knowledge of materials science and surface characterization preferred.
Data mining via SQL query and Power BI preferred.

Pay Range: $73,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are presently seeking a Diamond Turning Process Engineer that will sustain and improve fabrication processes in single-point diamond turning for successful execution of production optics manufacturing.
Main responsibilities:
* Serves as a technical subject matter expert for diamond turning fabrication.
* Creates and improves documentation for the manufacturing of optical components.
* Trains and supports technicians on the execution of fabrication processes.
* Supports troubleshooting of existing fabrication processes.
* Monitors and drives improvement of production fabrication processes and equipment using SPC.
* Assists in the transfer of optical fabrication process technologies from R&D to production.
* Identifies, justifies, and qualifies new equipment into production.
* Supports procurement and quality with supplier evaluation and selection.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.).
* 5+ years of single-point diamond turning optical component fabrication experience desirable.
* Proficiency with Nanotech Ultra-Precision Lathes desirable.
* Proficiency with Zygo and Form Talysurf metrology desirable.
* Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable.
* Proficiency with SPC desirable.
* Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc) desirable.

We are presently seeking an Assembly Process Engineer that will be resonsible for successful implementation of optical assemblies and supports the ongoing production of otpical assemblies using process engineering skills.
Main responsibilities:
Serves as a technical subject matter expert for optical assembly processes.
Supports the transition of new optical assemblies from prototype to full-rate production
Conducts analyses to assess and validate assembly processes and tool designs.
Creates and improves documentation for the manufacture of optical assemblies.
Trains technicians on the use of tools and processes for current and transitioning assemblies.
Supports troubleshooting of existing assembly tools and processes.
Monitors and drives improvement of production assembly processes using Statistical Process Control.
Supports procurement and quality with supplier evaluation and selection
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.). Advanced degree desirable.
7+ years experience in optics-related field desirable.
Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable.
Experience with adhesive selection and troubleshooting desirable
Proficiency with optical modeling software such as Zemax, Code V, FRED desirable.
Experience with optical alignment and bonding desirable.
Experience with automation programming (PC and/or PLC) desirable.
Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc).
Proficiency with Statistical Process Control.
