Reporting to the Director, ITS Contracts and Finance, the Senior Support Specialist performs a full range of secretarial duties at a senior support level for the Office of the Chief Information Officer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Types, edits letters, sends emails, and any other department-related materials.
* Provides telephone coverage and assist with any inquiries from visitors/students/faculty or external vendors.
* Manages shared departmental mailboxes and request intake for the Office of the CIO, while maintaining calendars and scheduling appointments for the CIO and departmental administrators.
* Oversees maintenance of departmental facilities, equipment, and supplies, including ordering materials, managing mail distribution, and coordinating travel arrangements.
* Assists with the organization and preparation of receptions/conferences/workshops or any other department-related program.
* Data entry and updating electronic records as well as maintaining departmental files, both electronic and paper based.
* Coordinates with the Facilities department to process and monitor the status of department work orders.
* Prepares and tracks electronic and paper-based requests to and from Financial Affairs (such as check requests, contracts, reimbursements, quote requests, purchase requisitions, budget transfer request, etc.) for department-related functions.
* May perform other duties not specifically identified above but which require the same degree of skill normally included within the above job title.
Hours: Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Qualifications
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Maintain internal and external communication with a level of confidentiality and professionalism.
* Must be detail-oriented, organized, and have the ability to self-prioritize.
* Operate with a level of accuracy, good judgement, and proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of Ellucian Banner, and other tools and systems preferred.
* Familiarity with and understanding of current University policies is a plus.
