Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains knowledge of industry trends and makes recommendations to the Management Team for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters. Oversees and maintains accurate records related to employee benefits enrollment and personnel transactions, including hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and separations -as well as the collection and reporting of workforce data to ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements, including government-mandated reporting. Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough, objective investigations and recommending appropriate actions in consultation with the HR Director or COO. Interprets and applies HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and equal application across departments. Assists in administering the performance evaluation process in coordination with the HR Director and/or COO to ensure effectiveness, alignment with established metrics, and consistency in applying performance standards for all employees. Administers and monitors benefit programs such as health, life, dental and vision insurance, retirement plans (401k), vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and EAP and other benefit offerings; interface with third party administrators when employee issues arise related to benefits. Conducts and oversees investigations related to workplace injuries and accidents, oversees the dissemination of relevant documentation, coordinates treatment and reporting with the employee and their supervisor, and facilitates workplace accommodations as needed in consultation with the HR Director or COO. Manages the employee separation process including the coordination of exit documentation, final pay, benefits continuation (COBRA), and required notices; ensures compliance with state and federal regulations while supporting a positive offboarding experience. Interfaces with the Payroll department to review and verify approvals related to employee absences, including sick time, vacation requests, and leaves of absence, ensuring accurate, timely processing, and appropriate payment for employees. Other Duties Comply with ECF's Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment. Comply with ECF's policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements. Observe regular, on-site work hours and represent the HR Department throughout the organization. When a field trip/outing falls at mealtime, staff will be given $7.00 for the cost of food; any additional cost must be paid by the staff. Staff also have the choice of preparing and taking food from the facility for consumption during a field trip/outing. When the field trip/outing falls outside of the mealtime, staff may not use the facility money to purchase snacks/drinks. They may take a personal drink from the facility. This is a 24-hour licensed residential home and as such does not allow for closure during various holidays. Therefore, employees who cannot be excused from their duties on a fixed holiday will be granted another day off during the same or following work week, at a mutually convenient time arranged between the employee and the supervisor OR the employee will be paid their straight-time rate of pay for hours actually worked on the holiday plus the regular holiday pay for the day. Employees are expected to work their regular shift during the holidays unless other arrangements have been made. Licensing regulations do not allow unauthorized persons on the premises. Accordingly, staff may not have visitors/guests; this includes overnight visitors/guests. On-duty staff must stay on the premises and be available in the event a consumer(s) requires assistance. Personal phone calls should not be made during regular work hours.     Job Description Title: Art Instructor_Animation Reports to: Program Supervisor Department: Art Center Program FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Supervisory Responsibility: None Position Summary Under supervision, the Art Instructor will teach digital animation to participants (adult artists with varying degrees of learning, behavioral, emotional, and intellectual disabilities) in the program. The instructor will also implement educational supports and behavior plans. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Implement artistic, educational, and behavioral support plans for assigned participants, referring to participants IPP. Ensure participants' well-being during operating hours of the Art Center, while on the premises, and out in the community. Provide supervision during participants' arrival, departure, and lunchtime. Give instruction in the proper use of materials, care, and protection of artwork, production of animated content, and help participants to become proficient in animation. Stay abreast of contemporary developments in the field of animation so that the department continues to use the most effective tools. Create any protocols needed for increased safety or effectiveness. Monitor artist throughout their entire animation project. Assist and instruct participants on projects related to their IPP (Individual Program Plan) in animation. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Organize participants' portfolios by properly labeling and storing artwork in the appropriate areas. Participate in staff meetings to identify and implement artistic, educational, psychological and social objectives for each participant. Provide staffing support for promotions and set up for events when needed. This includes, but is not limited to art receptions, vendor fairs, art markets, and open houses. Follow appropriate protocol and policies in assisting participants during any incidents or seizures. Employ NCI procedures as needed to assist participants who are exhibiting aggressive behavior. Be available to help promote the Art Centers during work hours. This includes, but is not limited to, informing the public of the Art Center mission and services when the public is touring Art Center facilities, asking questions during events, or inquiring about how they can support the program. Support Art Center events and programs through distribution of materials and information to all interested parties. Program Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-2:00pm Supervisory Responsibility: None Position Summary The Community Integration Specialist will provide direct supervision, training and evaluation of participants' preferred community-based activity. The Specialist will work with participants to integrate them into the community and enhance their quality of life as a valued member of society. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide supervision and serve as job coach to program participants while facilitating their full inclusion in the volunteer placement, recreation, and employment sites of their choosing. Play an integral part in participant community integration into the surrounding communities while enhancing their quality of life. Provide behavioral intervention to participants through appropriate methods as designated through NCI Training and overall goals. Integrating participants with a 1-2 ratio in person-centered community activities including exploring community resources based on participant choice, job exploring, productive recreational activities as indicated in curriculum and managing contacts to cultivate, grow and in maintaining each relationship. Healthy lifestyle will be supported by community agency partnerships, both in-house and in the community. Will assist participants to become self-advocates and independent through self-determination. Use public transportation, personal vehicle or ECF vehicles to transport participants to volunteer commitments, community activities and events. Maintain ECF vehicle logs, perform regular maintenance checks, and report issues immediately to the program manager. Provide supervision, training, and evaluation of participants' choice of volunteer and community-based activities. Teach new skills identified in the participants' Individual Program Plan (IPP) including but not limited to self-help, communication, gross and fine motor, vocational, pre-employment, cognitive, social- emotional skills and in identifying and accessing important community resources. Assist in the development of motivational techniques and in improving work skills of participants. Establish, coordinate, and implement person-centered community activities with guidance and support from the case management team. Maintain participant documentation to include but not limited to daily, monthly, and quarterly evaluations as directed by case manager. Document unusual incidents through case notes/SIR reporting. Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings. Other Duties · Comply with ECF's Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Ensure safe use and operation of tools and/or equipment. · Comply with ECF policies and procedures, including mandated reporting requirements. Regular and reliable attendance is required for this position. Assist participants as needed with personal hygiene including toileting, illness, and incidents of incontinence. · Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Licenses/Certifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: One year working with individuals with special needs. Requirements Driving is an essential function of this position. Proof of valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, evidence of state-mandated car insurance, and insurable driving record are required. While driving for work, should a need arise, the employee's insurance is deemed primary and ECF's coverage is secondary. Driving Disclaimer- Employees driving for company business must maintain a clean record and operate vehicles safely and responsibly. Company vehicles will be monitored and activity recorded. Violations of the driving policy may result in disciplinary action, including suspension of driving privileges, reassignment, or termination.
