In this program, you'll leverage your professional experience to evaluate what AI models produce in your field, assess content related to your field of work, and deliver clear, structured feedback that strengthens the model's understanding of your workplace tasks and language. The Handshake AI opportunity runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different areas of expertise.

The position is remote and asynchronous; work independently from wherever you are.
The hours are flexible, with no minimum commitment, but most average 5-20 hrs
The work includes developing prompts for AI models that reflect your field, and then evaluating responses.
You'll learn new skills and contribute to how AI is used in your field
Your placement into a project will be dependent on project availability-if you apply now and can't work on this project, more will be available soon.
Qualifications
You have at least 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following types of work.

Establish and enforce rules for behavior and policies and procedures to maintain order among students
Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on children and activities as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations
Confer with parents, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) addressing students' educational, physical, and social development
Employ special education strategies and techniques to support development of sensory and perceptual-motor skills, language, cognition, and memory
Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects and communicate expectations to students
Prepare instructional materials and classrooms for learning activities
Teach socially acceptable behavior using behavior modification and positive reinforcement techniques
Collaborate with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic challenges
Develop and implement instructional strategies to support students with a range of disabilities
Teach personal development skills including goal setting, independence, and self-advocacy
Prepare students for future grades by encouraging exploration, persistence, and engagement with challenging tasks
Modify general education curriculum for students with disabilities using varied instructional methods and assistive technologies
Observe and evaluate student performance, behavior, social development, and physical well-being
Collaborate with staff to plan and schedule instruction aligned with approved curricula
Meet with interdisciplinary professionals to review individual student progress and needs
Coordinate placement of students with special needs into inclusive or mainstream classroom settings
Prepare course objectives and instructional outlines in alignment with state and school curriculum guidelines
Guide and counsel students on academic adjustments, challenges, and special interests
Monitor teachers and instructional assistants to ensure compliance with inclusive special education program requirements
Plan and conduct balanced instructional activities that encourage observation, inquiry, and investigation
Use computers, audiovisual tools, and instructional technologies to enhance lessons
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss student progress, priorities, and resource needs
Provide assistive devices, supportive technologies, and access accommodations such as restroom accessibility
Deliver instruction through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations across subject areas
Prepare, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate student learning and progress
Collaborate with educators and administrators to develop, evaluate, and revise secondary school programs
Teach daily living skills that promote independence and self-sufficiency, including hygiene, safety, and food preparation
Administer standardized assessments and interpret results to identify student strengths and needs
Prepare lesson plans and provide written documentation of instructional preparation when requested
Support parents and guardians in accessing community resources and developing strategies for addressing student impairments
Participate in professional development activities to maintain and enhance instructional expertise
Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required
Plan and supervise experiential learning activities such as projects, field trips, and guest speaker sessions

Key Responsibilities
90% Development and implementation of courses that support the goals and philosophies of the Adventure Leadership Institute. The instructor is responsible for the creation of all elements necessary to the successful running of ALI courses, including but not limited to lesson plans, learning outcomes, and teaching aids. These duties may also include the planning and executing of field experiences as a part of assigned courses. The instructor will evaluate students based on stated learning outcomes and provide coaching and remediation of skills as necessary. The instructor should also be in communication with other co- instructors and/or supervisor as to the needs of the students and how best to achieve stated learning outcomes for the course(s). This position will include the potential for work in remote and/or hazardous environments. The instructor will take all reasonable precautions to mitigate risks to students and other staff while teaching courses and/or in the field. What You Will Need
* Current Wild Med Instructor Certification from Stonehearth Open Learning Opportunities (SOLO).
* Current Wilderness First Responder Certification or higher from SOLO.
* One or more years of experience working in an instructional role in a university setting with college students.
* Current CPR for the health care provider or ability to obtain prior to start date.
* Certification as an instructor from a nationally recognized organization for a given course discipline.
* Commitment to contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.
