• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly
• Must meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
• Education: Bachelor of Science Degree, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
• Minimum of 9 years of technical related experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal management supervision
• Experience with Exchange Server versions 2007-2019: design, install, configuration, maintenance, performance, tuning, migration, and upgrades to server
• Knowledge of ATO and Project Management processes and experience in certifying products for use in production networks
• Knowledge of Enterprise Vault and the integration process of Enterprise Vault into Exchange Environments
• PowerShell

The Microsoft 365 Messaging Engineer is a part of the Messaging Team within JRI-America and is
responsible for supporting Messaging Exchange Online environment.

This role provides day-to-day engineering for the SMBC Messaging environment with primary focus on the
Microsoft 365 platform. Uses expertise to deliver solutions within the organisation. Serves as escalation
point from the business contacts and Messaging Management. Reports to the Messaging Manager. Has no
direct/indirect reports.
Responsibilities
Engineer, develop, test, deploy and validate changes in the Microsoft Exchange Online environment,
with focus on Exchange Online Transport Rules, DLP Rules, mail flow, producing reports on mail
traffic and volume.
Delivers engineered solutions based on business requirements. Document requirements into
functional specifications related to email monitoring, message review and approval (Moderation),
Outlook Policy Tips, Exchange Transport Rules and DLP.
Document, maintain and enhance existing mail-flow rules and policies
Diagnose reported issues and provide root cause analysis to management and the business teams.
Works closely with Messaging Manager, Architecture, and IT Security teams.
Works closely with Microsoft regarding reported issues, Microsoft case management and holding
Microsoft accountable for providing updates on open cases.
Creates documentation of the Microsoft 365 Exchange environment as required.
Enhances efficiency via automation when and wherever possible.
Follow all Change Management protocols, communicates changes scheduled and when completed
with business partners and management.
Collaborates with security teams on Microsoft 365 application issues which affect security
processes.
Develop Microsoft PowerShell scripts and reports, automation of scripts and alerting.
Qualifications
Professional working experience with Microsoft 365 Exchange Online, Intune MDM, Microsoft
Teams, Security & Compliance Centre, and eDiscovery.
Export/Strong/Deep experience with Exchange Online required specifically for Exchange Transport
Rules, M365 Data Leakage Policies, eDiscovery in Security & Compliance Center.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate requirements, concepts
and ideas to business and technology partners.
Ability to work well independently and be a self-starter and produce status reports, track issues and
cases opened with Microsoft or other vendors.
Ability to influence people outside the immediate span of control, negotiate and resolve conflicts,
and work with business users, IT partners and vendors.
High-Level customer service mindset and commitment to deliver quality results to internal
stakeholders in a demanding environment.
Analytical skills necessary to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems and test,
recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems.
A strong sense of urgency and accountability with exceptional time management skills.
Proofpoint on Demand (PoD) experience desired.

Work Experience: 3-7 years of hands-on experience working in a Messaging engineering role.
Working for Financial Services firm preferable. Expert/Deep/Strong Exchange
Online experience required.

Global Cloud/Email Architecture and Engineering is looking for Sr Microsoft Exchange Online Engineer to join our Global Exchange Engineering team. The candidate must be a self-motivated individual with experience in designing, engineering, testing, and implementing Exchange Online. You must possess a unique blend of technical and customer facing skills. Be an out of the box thinker and able to directly engage with all stakeholders - cloud, security, compliance, data, user experience, business, engineering, and governance.
This includes:

* Responsible for Exchange Online email configuration engineering, management, and support of global email services with careful regard to availability, connectivity, performance and security
* Responsible for 3rd level design for Microsoft Exchange Online
* Participate and oversee efforts in audits related to global email services and Exchange infrastructure
* Have deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online email infrastructure services, including: Exchange Online Protection, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Defender for Cloud Applications
* Support business and client group requirements for access, and solution administration
* Help define test strategies for migrations and translations of configurations to mitigate outages and loss of service
* Help define and develop project plans (Define, roughly create, status and update)
* Work with a project team (Project Managers, Product Manager, System Administrators, Architects, and Stakeholders) in a high communication standard manner

* Knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Active Directory, MS SQL and Rights Management
