Program Development: Organize and oversee all aspects of the bowling program, including practices, matches, tournaments, and offseason activities. Skill Instruction: Teach proper bowling techniques, scoring, strategies, and fundamentals to improve individual and team performance. Compliance & Eligibility: Ensure adherence to OHSAA and Garfield Heights City Schools policies, including academic and eligibility requirements. Practice & Competition Planning: Develop structured practice sessions and game plans to prepare the team for competitive success. Safety & Conduct: Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment during all practices, matches, and team events. Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with athletes, families, alumni, and the community to foster support for the bowling program. Program Operations: Manage scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and communications related to the program. Professional Growth: Stay informed on best practices and trends in high school bowling and youth coaching. Other Duties: Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director or school administration. Knowledge in the following areas is preferred: Microsoft Office, athletic video and performance review software (i.e. Hudl, Synergy), social media platforms, and recruiting software (i.e. Frontrush). Travel is required as well as some evening, night, and weekend work. A valid driver's license is required; must meet required insurance qualifications found in Wittenberg Motor Pool policies and procedures.
