Executive Statistics in the US

The average employee age for executives is 52 years. The executive workforce reached a whopping 5,623 in 2020!

Among executives, we discovered that 41.6% of them are women, while 52.7% are men. The most common race/ethnicity among executives is White, which makes up 80.7% of all executives. Comparatively, there are 6.9% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 6.8% of the Asian ethnicity. The majority of executives are located in NY, New York and IL, Chicago.

Executives are more likely to work at private companies in comparison to public companies. Taking it a step further, executives are more likely to find a job in the technology industry. Looking at executive statistics, we found was that Washington, Alaska, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Pennsylvania are where executives find the highest salaries.

From where do we know all information about executive demographics? We analyzed 33,052 executives resumes to find out what the average demographics are for the job position. Just to be clear, by demographics we mean the study of population-based factors like age, race, and sex. On top of scouring through resumes, we also took note of job proposals from employers and Census Bureau data. And guess what? We found some pretty interesting information.

The most common ethnicity among executives is White, which makes up 80.7% of all executives. Comparatively, there are 6.9% of the Hispanic or Latino ethnicity and 6.8% of the Asian ethnicity.
