Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION This position leads and supports capacity planning efforts to ensure the reliability, resilience, and efficiency of ComEd's electric distribution system. This role develops and applies advanced planning methodologies, load forecasting, and system modeling to anticipate future grid needs driven by electrification, distributed energy resources (DER), climate impacts, and policy mandates such as the Climate and Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA). Also, this role collaborates across engineering, operations, and regulatory teams to identify and justify infrastructure investments, optimize system performance, and support decarbonization. This role provides technical expertise and strategic guidance to inform capital planning, grid modernization initiatives, and customer programs. This position may require the candidate to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies. Job Responsibilities Functional Expertise: Research architecture standards based on industry best practices while adhering to corporate security policies and meeting business requirements.
