PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Support strategic development of plans and unique opportunities to meet the expectations of our commercial customers. Provide world class customer experience by directly engaging customers proactively and as needed. * Impact of Errors: Ensures that an adequate gas supply at a level requested by Gas System Control and Supply Acquisition is delivered to the distribution system on the schedule requested to meet our customers' needs on a 24/7/365 basis. Failure to execute these responsibilities would result in significant customer impact, legal and or financial liability to the Corporation. Failure to recognize abnormal plant system conditions could result in a catastrophic failure of facilities that could result in employee or public injury or death, and/or significant financial liability and damage to company image with the public, regulators and investors. Primary Purpose

**Primary Purpose**
Acts as a main point of contact throughout the engineering, scheduling and construction processes for residential, commercial and industrial customers. Performs all activities required to initiate and design cost effective, solutions for internal/external customer requests for engineering services. Interfaces with district resources to meet customer in-service dates, including coordination with other utilities and contractors. Performs outage evaluation in emergency restoration efforts. Maintains accurate GIS system data.
**Primary Duties**
This position is a NERC Regulated position. As such, a background check will be conducted on incumbent every seven years. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to complete annual NERC compliance training.
**Job Scope**
**Minimum Qualifications**
* Associate's degree in engineering technology or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
* Experience demonstrating skill reading and interpreting construction plans, engineering drawings, etc.
* Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software to perform work functions (for example, communicate with others, create and modify letters, perform calculations).
* Ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including all weather conditions, on and/or around energized electrical equipment and in dirty environments.
* Ability and willingness to wear and use safety equipment as required by Federal, State, Local and Company regulations.
* Ability and willingness to adhere to safety regulations and policies.
* Ability and willingness to travel to various Company locations and work sites.
* Ability and willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends on an occasional basis.
* Must successfully pass qualification tests.
* Must possess a valid driver's license.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience demonstrating knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity.
* Experience demonstrating skill using GIS and/or WMIS (work management information system) to perform work functions (for example, create sketches, maintain accurate data, update the status of projects, create job instructions).
* Experience demonstrating skill initiating and designing engineering solutions for internal and external customer requests.
* Experience demonstrating skill providing customer service (for example, interacting with customers, responding to customer inquiries over the telephone, in writing and/or in-person).
* Experience demonstrating skill interfacing and coordinating with other departments, companies, and contractors.
* Experience demonstrating skill preparing and modifying contract agreements and cost letters.
* Experience demonstrating skill performing outage evaluation in emergency restoration efforts.
* Experience demonstrating skill setting up billing terms and/or processing payments received.
