Performs daily and routine housekeeping in apartments, cottages, health care rooms, and all common areas, following established policies and procedures. Including but not limited to bathroom cleaning/sanitation, mopping floors, vacuuming, and dusting,
Performs in-depth cleanings in apartments and cottages on an annual basis.

Communicates effectively the status of the department's activities to the oncoming shift.; must be able to implement verbal and written instructions.;
Requirements:

Major Responsibilities:
1. Carries beeper and IP phone taking calls/requests and assigns staff as required by situations. Documents all requests in log. Delivers pager and gives report to next shift/Sr. Housekeeper. May rearrange staffing to ensure adequate coverage during callouts as needed.
2. Monitors bed tracking system.
3. Cleans all areas as assigned, cleans floors using care techniques of vacuuming, dry and damp mopping. Performing all duties in a safe manner donning appropriate PPE according to standards.
4. Reports all aesthetic issues, need for repair to manager. Report/remove and tags any defective, damaged or broken equipment using LOTO as required.
5. Uses cleaning chemicals in accordance with use guidelines.
6. Handles waste removal to include general, biohazard/ infectious waste, sharps, hazardous and confidential waste using appropriate protocol. May handle hazardous waste.
7. May provide job training for new hires.
8. Issues, delivers & removes linens to areas in accordance to established protocols, documenting all issues.
9. Maintains & replenishes supplies on carts/closets in orderly clean fashion in accordance to established protocols.
10. Performs all other duties as assigned.
