What a day at EXP has in store for you
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, and regulations.
Monitor construction progress and document findings through reports, photographs, and field notes.
Identify and report deficiencies, safety concerns, or deviations from project requirements.
Perform material testing and verify that materials used meet project specifications.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal construction codes and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to confirm project alignment.
Conduct inspections for grading, drainage, concrete, asphalt, utilities, and structural elements.
Document daily activities, including work completed, weather conditions, and site challenges.
Participate in progress meetings and provide recommendations for improving construction quality and efficiency.
What your experience looks like
Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction inspection or quality control.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
Experience with field testing procedures and quality assurance techniques.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
Fluent in engineering problem solving
Comfortable and fluent in basic computer skills including Word and Excel
Is a self-starter and results oriented
Organized on a daily basis
Personable in working with colleagues
An understanding of CAD programs such as AutoCAD or Revit
Familiar with Rail and Transit working environment

The hourly rate for this role is $25 to $50 an hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.

The Environmental Business Line of AECOM is seeking a Hazardous Building Material/Industrial Hygiene Project Manager for immediate employment with the Northeast department of the EHS & Air Practice. This candidate is expected to report to the Boston, MA, Chelmsford, MA, or Manchester, NH office.
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate at least 8 years of experience performing and managing building hazardous material (asbestos, lead paint, etc.) surveys, abatement oversight, and design and/or industrial hygiene projects. This is anticipated to be a seller/doer role, combining technical project execution with business development. On the business development side, responsibilities will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and securing contracts (both internally and externally). This dual role requires a balance of technical expertise, project management skills, and business acumen to successfully grow the business while delivering exceptional service to clients.
The job responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:
+ Managing and/or self-performing a wide range of hazardous building material and industrial hygiene projects for both private and public-sector clients
+ Collaborating with other licensed/certified professionals and technical/regulatory specialists on hazardous building material and industrial hygiene projects. These projects are expected to include survey and investigation work, abatement/remediation design, and abatement/remediation.
+ Provide technical and/or regulatory leadership for hazardous building material and industrial hygiene projects throughout New England, the US, and internationally.
+ Develop proposals, including work scope, budgets and schedules for hazardous building material survey/design/abatement and other industrial hygiene projects.
+ Manage or provide review of technical work and field activities, including performing oversight of projects to confirm work is being done in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budget, schedule and regulatory/industry standards.
+ Review, coordinate or prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandum; analyze data and develop supported conclusions.
+ Work collaboratively with other teams within the EHS department, Environment business line, and across AECOM's other internal business lines.
+ Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies and add value to client service offerings.
+ Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and supporting department growth through supporting internal and external sales.
The successful candidate will have enough technical experience to be able to independently manage various sized field efforts and deliver associated reports for a wide variety of hazardous building material projects/surveys and industrial hygiene projects. They should possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with team members, clients, and stakeholders. + Industrial hygiene, mold, or indoor air quality experience.
+ Must have 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training.
+ Must have EPA AHERA Asbestos Inspector Certification.
+ Must have New England State specific licenses and certifications pertaining to asbestos (MA, ME, NH, CT) or be eligible to obtain such licenses and certifications.
+ Valid Driver's License and must be able to pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records review.

AECOM is seeking Safety, Health & Environmental Site Officer II based in New York, New York office.
This is full-time onsite position for an on-going project in Staten Island, NY.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
* Implementing the requirements of AECOM's Construction Manager's (CM) EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP).
* Support the CM in preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with Client standards.
* Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
* Review all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans, soil re-use, hazardous waste contingency plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and Stormwater Pollution Prevent Plans (SWPPP) to verify comprehensive oversight of all site activities.
* Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor's EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.
* Conduct frequent construction site visits.
* Track and monitor the Contractor's compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s).
* Track and monitor all site EHSRs' performance including, but not limited to, reviewing the EHSR's daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.

to join our Transportation Business Line. This position will oversee bridge and other transportation structural design technical work, monitor staffing and provide business development assistance. The ideal candidate will perform the following:
Lead the staff by offering technical guidance and mentor staff to facilitate career development.
Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, report on project status, and deliver design on schedule and within budget.

The New York Metro Buildings + Places Team is a multi-disciplinary group consisting of professionals across multiple disciplines, including Architecture, MEP, Structural, Civil, Change Management, and Landscape design.
B+P is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based in the New York Metro area and can be based in New York City, Piscataway or Bloomfield, New Jersey.
As a people manager, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for mentoring and guiding the federal design team to success. In addition to helping lead design development and review, the Senior Project Manager will also be responsible client communication, consultant coordination, and contract administration. * 5 to 10 years of experience in the design of wastewater and/or leachate treatment processes and facilities.

Job Description
AECOM is seeking a mid-level Structural Engineer to be based in our New York Metro office to support our Building and Places group that is focused on Transportation. This position will perform site visits to observe and report on construction activities and address field questions as well as coordinate design and construction issues.
The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the following items:
Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.

AECOM's Transportation business line has a position available in Piscataway or Bloomfield, NJ for a Senior Utility Engineer with Highway Design experience. In this role the selected candidate will be working on projects associated with New Jersey Transportation projects.
This role requires close collaboration with utility companies, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of utility infrastructure with roadway and transportation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in utility engineering, regulatory compliance, and conflict resolution with NJTA and NJDOT clients.
Responsibilities will include:
* Managing scope, schedule, and budget for utility infrastructure projects
* Building strong client relationships and being the main point of contact to a variety of utility clients
* Representing AECOM at meetings with NJTA, NJDOT, and municipal clients as well as utility owners to resolve utility conflicts on highway projects.
* Directing a team to perform record research, including utility as builts, development of SUE programs, identification of conflicts and designing relocation schemes acceptable to the companies.
