What will your day-to-day look like?
Drive day-to-day execution across multiple IMS/telephony platform initiatives, translating evolving technical needs into clear milestones, owners, and delivery dates.
Actively manage cross-team dependencies and sequencing (engineering, operations, vendors/carriers), ensuring handoffs are aligned and timelines don't conflict across upgrades, cutovers, and decommissions.
Maintain and continuously update RAID artifacts (risk log, issue log, decisions, assumptions), escalating early with context, options, and recommended paths forward.
Partner with engineers to validate rollout approaches for production changes-confirming maintenance windows, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and operational readiness before go-live.
Track vendor and carrier commitments, push for clarity when timelines slip, and surface external constraints early to prevent internal teams from being blocked unexpectedly.
Provide concise, grounded status communications to leadership and operations, focused on outcomes, critical risks, and what support/decisions are needed to keep delivery on track.
Participate in incident-driven execution when platform instability occurs, supporting real-time coordination, post-incident follow-ups, and improvements to monitoring/telemetry and deployment safeguards.
What's required?
5+ years of Proven delivery in complex, ambiguous environments - ability to execute when requirements are incomplete, priorities shift, and the end-state evolves as teams learn more.
Working IMS / telephony platform knowledge (not engineering-level) - understands how changes can impact SIP call flows, SBCs, routing, signaling/media, and downstream dependencies in a live call environment.
Strong production mindset - experienced with maintenance windows, cutovers, rollback planning, operational readiness, and minimizing customer-impacting risk during deployments.
Exceptional dependency and sequencing management - naturally maps cross-team handoffs, identifies timing conflicts early, and prevents parallel work from creating rework or hidden assumptions.
High ownership of risk and issue management - maintains an active RAID process, escalates early with context/options, and can clearly distinguish “hard” vs. “unsafe to proceed.”
Vendor/carrier management experience - comfortable tracking external commitments, pushing back on slips, and keeping external dependencies visible to leadership and delivery teams.
