JOB OVERVIEW Provide Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Subject Matter Expert support services as part of general support services for The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP). RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site requires general support services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP). WTP requests 0.5 full-time equivalents (FTE) general support contractor (960 labor hours) to provide support in the following areas: Provides detailed research evaluations to ensure that credible engineering input based upon sound scientific principles can be utilized by the WTP in support of its mission. Provides technical oversight of manuscripts prepared by Enhanced Waste Glass program performers for submission to high-impact professional journals. Contributes to operational risk reduction. Participates in the specification of a methodology for evaluating new glass-forming chemical sources and evaluation of the needed sources. Evaluates and contributes to matrixes of glass productions. Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria.
