JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for processing the exporting of freight by preparing and processing documentation/shipment in accordance with standard freight consolidation and direct shipment procedures and governmental regulations.
Duties & Functions
Arrange and coordinate pickup transportation from customer s warehouse/supplier to NNR s warehouse or carrier.
Arrange truck/rail movement of freight for shipper s location.
Receive freight, check for count and damages.
Input air waybill data into NNR s computer system.
Process Dangerous Goods Freight according to DOT and IATA regulations.
Customer Service duties to include sending customer invoices, miscellaneous filing.
Prepare Letters of Credit for exporting purposes.
Prepare Export Declarations and various DOC documentation.
Complete all Department of Commerce documentation for the exporting of freight out of the U.S.
Check freight to ensure it complies with TSA security regulations, that Dangerous Goods freight is properly packaged/labeled.
Process live animal and perishable shipments to comply with various federal agencies regulations.
Negotiate rates and space with the airlines, steam ship lines and truckers to obtain competitive rates when applicable.
Track and trace shipments.
Perform other duties as requested by management.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
Minimum requirement High School diploma or GED.
Understanding in international freight forwarding operations:
o Strong Ocean Freight Experience.
o Federal regulations that pertain to international export of shipments.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Able to use basic math skills to calculate freight, storage and other charges.
Employee must have excellent organizational skills.
Basic Microsoft computer application working knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook.
Physical requirements:
Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Requirements


1-3 years of experience in exports, shipping, transportation or other like experience.
Knowledge of ocean (FCL & LCL) exports handling a must.
Knowledge of export Customs laws, practices and procedures.
Deep understanding of the shipping industry and rate negotiation opportunities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Must be self-motivated, able to work in a team as well as be independent.
Detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel.
Aptitude, creativity, and a preference for working in small, collaborative teams.
Knowledge of Cargo Wise operating system a plus.

EAF arranges short, medium and long term structured financings and provides export financing advice to Citigroup's clients globally. EAF arranges and participates in structured financings that manage risk through credit and political risk support from sovereign agencies and insurers.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will:

* Coordinate overall EAF strategy planning and execution at a global level (financials, capital, risk, talent, technology, operations)
* Lending decisions and portfolio risk management related to the EAF business
* Leading client (ECAs, DFIs, MLAs, etc) and partner engagement (ie, BCMA (Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory), CCB (Citi Commercial Bank), 2LOD and 3LOD partners)
* Governance and control of the EAF business (incl audit accountability and MCA oversight)
* Team building, culture and management

Skills required:

* Strong transaction structuring, credit underwriting and risk management
* High level knowledge and understanding of liquidity, capital management and optimisation
* Corporate finance and lending
* ECA limited recourse financing experience
* Experience running a high performing, geographically distributed product and structuring team executing against ambitious growth plans
* Ideally SCO (Senior Credit Officer) or SCO2 and/or SSO (Senior Securities Officer)
* Asset/infrastructure finance and/or project finance experience
* Strong interpersonal, influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and senior management
* Superior organizational skills (including self organizational skills)
* Strategic, goal-oriented team leader with proven track record of managing senior EAF professionals within a similar institution

Education:

* Under-graduate or post-graduate qualified individual
