Job Description
The Automotive Technician, reporting to the Store and Service Managers, is responsible for performing basic and advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspecting vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure vehicle is performing appropriately and the customer is taken care of.
Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Application of in-depth automotive repair knowledge
* Providing service of the highest quality to our customers
* Performs skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems
* Inspect, replace and/or repair defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on automobiles

Qualifications
We are looking for:

* ASE Certification preferred, but not required

* Ability to operate and drive vehicles
* Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Job Description:
Provide impartial recommendations or options that are tailored specifically to guest's needs based on manufacturer recommendations and technicians' findings.
Work efficiently to service the customers in a timely fashion, prioritizing safety always.
Vacuum and sanitize interior of vehicle and clean windshield when vehicle enters.
Perform preventative maintenance such as oil and filter change, refill fluid levels, and inspecting and replacing lights, wiper blades, brakes, and tires following J Team Service Standards (JTSS).
Perform automotive maintenance of the engine, transmission, axles, steering and suspension, brakes, electrical, heating/air conditioning, tires, batteries, and spark plugs.
Perform multi-point Inspection of automotive vehicles to ensure compliance to emission standards and governmental regulations and maintain detailed records of vehicles inspected as needed.
Participate in regular on-site and e-learning training, and maintain compliance with Jiffy Lube safety requirements, OSHA, and state regulations.
Participate in marketing events and promotions.
Keep customer, inventory, and service records and participate in inventory stocking.
Perform housekeeping/minor building maintenance.
Promote customer loyalty by ensuring completion of quality workmanship, reviewing services completed with guest, confirming guest satisfaction, and encouraging return at recommended intervals.

Responsibilities
As a Midas general service technician, you'll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of automotive maintenance services, including:
Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including fluid exchanges and oil changes
Visual safety and courtesy inspections
Mounting, balancing and rotating tires
Replacing batteries
Changing bulbs, belts and hoses
Maintaining and cleaning shop areas
Other shop maintenance items as needed
Qualifications
Entry level technicians must have prior knowledge of automotive basics
Knowledge of shop equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license

Job Description
The Automotive Technician, reporting to the Store and Service Managers, is responsible for performing basic and advanced car maintenance and repair tasks, inspecting vehicles for potential problems, and troubleshooting issues to ensure vehicle is performing appropriately and the customer is taken care of.
Primary Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Application of in-depth automotive repair knowledge
Providing service of the highest quality to our customers
Performs skilled mechanical work while analyzing and diagnosing problems
Inspect, replace and/or repair defective parts while performing preventative maintenance on automobiles
Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the company's vision, mission, and core values in all interaction with customers, co-workers, managers, and suppliers
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
Qualifications
We are looking for:
A minimum of 2 years' automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic experience in a professional capacity
ASE Certification preferred, but not required
Must have Technician Tools
Valid driver's license
Ability to operate and drive vehicles
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long term trust and relationships with our customers
Willingness to work Saturdays
