We are a mid-sized, privately owned company valuing professional growth and personal development. Engineered Profiles is seeking mechanically inclined individuals we can train to run Plastic Extrusionlines. Through completion of our training matrix and strong job performance our most skilled extrusionoperators can make up to $33 an hour. Starting pay is based on the level of experience a candidate has and will be assessed through a test given by one of our process technicians.
Our shifts run on a two-week rotating schedule (basically two days on, two days off, with three-day weekends). We're a 24/7 environment. The ExtrusionOperator is responsible for setting up the extrusionline, operating, tear down, quality checks, and production reporting.

Job Summary:.
To set-up and operate necessary equipment to produce a custom extruded profile that will meet or exceed the customer's expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to set-up equipment (dies, screws, downline equipment, etc.) to make line production capable.
Be able to start up all machinery and equipment while making any adjustments necessary to obtain a high quality extruded product.
Assume responsibility for safety and housekeeping by following all safety rules, reporting safety hazards, and maintaining a clean work area.
Assume responsibility for quality of extruded products by completing check sheets, color checks, SPC (Statistical Process Controls) computer data entry, and any other special reports that may be required.
Assume responsibility for packaging quality by insuring that required packing materials are available and products are packed correctly.
Assist in the training of new trainees by sharing knowledge and information.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED required
Some manufacturing and/or technical experience desirable.
Must be able to use a tape measure, length gauge, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and various quality gauges.
Must have good mechanical aptitude and acceptable math skills (i.e., division, multiplication, fraction to decimal conversion, etc.) Must possess basic knowledge of raw materials (virgin, regrinds, colorants, etc.) used in extrusion process.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Displays consistent desire to do more than is asked to help coordinate processes in order to get the job done
Ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive work that can change rapidly
Must be able to work while standing for long periods.

Summary

**JOB SUMMARY:** The person who occupies this position is expected to adjust gluing machines in order to process a flat carton order and oversee its production (complex glue experience a plus).
**JOB FUNCTIONS:** _Job functions include, but are not limited to, the following._
+ The operator is responsible for adjusting glue machinery to fit the particular style of carton being processed.
+ Once production begins, the operator is responsible for maintaining machinery at optimum speed. When malfunctions occur, the operator is to be able to detect the cause and make appropriate adjustments as quickly as possible.
+ The operator is responsible for the members of the crew working on gluer machinery. Is fully responsible in ensuring team members are working efficiently and safely. The operator is also responsible for training feeder/catcher trainees as necessary.
+ Must assume duties of the Feeder or Inspector when those persons are on breaks (see job description for Feeder/Catcher). The Operator performs the activities of Feeder/Inspector for approximately 2 hours per day.
+ Responsible for performing maintenance duties on gluer machinery; greasing, oiling, blowing off machinery, glue pot maintenance, bearing and belt replacement, and cleaning parts.
+ Able to maintain written and electronic (SAP) records of quality and production, and Ignition software. Operator goes through hourly statistical measurements (carton alignment, edge caliper, opening force, glue length, etc.)
+ Responsible for making labels per customer specs.
+ Ability and Positive attitude to teach and help fellow operators to troubleshoot all problems when called upon to do so.
**BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:**
+ 1-2 years of machine operator experience required

+ Entry-level computer skills

**JOB SUMMARY:**
The finishing operator is responsible for the machine setup, adjustments, make-readies, assist with maintenance, troubleshooting quality issues, and operation of their assigned folding gluing machine. While operating the machine, they are responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing high quality folding cartons at or above target run speeds while minimizing waste and downtime. The machine operator is the leader of the crew and oversees the activities of the feeder packers working on that machine. The operator must obtain and review the job ticket for items, quantities, caliper of the paperboard, and any special instruction that is informational for running the order to specification. The case specification must also be reviewed to make sure that the instructions are clear and concise prior to running the order. The operator is responsible for ensuring all make-readies are put on as quickly as possible. The operator inspects the product quality including folded score caliper, proper gluing and stacking, carton and score alignment, and case fit, and ensures that the machine is in good running condition. The operator ensures that the Leary glue and mix detection system is constantly functioning correctly. The operator is also responsible for shutting down the machine if it is to be left unattended. This position reports to the Finishing Lead, Shift Supervisor and Finishing Manager.

Job Summary: The primary purpose of this job is to safely and efficiently operate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment in the manufacturing of plastic film. This position would be expected to learn the process of making plastic film and how the equipment operates. Training is provided; however, each team member is expected to be in charge of their own learning goals. Shift work, overtime, and call-ins will be required, as needed, for the safe and effective operation of the film lines.
Schedule: 2-2-3 Night Shift, 12-Hour shifts, 6:00pm - 6:00am (every other long weekend off)
Job Duties
* Provide continuous and effective operation of the lines and equipment
* Safely and reliably operate the production lines
* Test film quality per testing methods
* Actively participate in line changeover duties
* Effectively troubleshoot and solve a range of problems including mechanical, electrical, and computer based
* Ability to cross train and operate polystyrene, blown film, and converting equipment
* Be a committed participant in the safety culture by:
a. Attending all training regarding safe operations to ensure personal and coworker safety
b. Constructively intervening as necessary with coworkers of all levels
c. Communicating unsafe conditions and being a part of their resolution
d. Assisting with the investigation and follow-up of on-the-job incidents
e. Following all safety programs, including lockout tagout, confined space, hot work, Safe Work Permitting, etc.
* Assist in the upkeep of a clean and organized workplace
* Foster teamwork with co-workers by:
a. Listening and responding constructively to other team members.
b. Expressing disagreement constructively (e.g. emphasizing points of agreement, suggesting alternatives that may be acceptable to the group).

The primary responsibility of this position is to set up and operate slitting machines; to cut film to specified widths, lengths and diameters in a way that meets or exceeds standards for safety, quality and productivity.
Job Duties:
Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouse
Maintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standards
Maintains company's quality standards and follows computer procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine material
Transport materials to designated areas with forklifts
Installs and aligns razor blades for slitting feedstock materials
Starts machine, adjusts blade and controls, using wrenches, rulers, gauges, templates or other tools, and monitors operation
Tests and adjusts settings as required for producing according to specification
Selects, cleans, and installs spacers, lay-on bars, sleeves, and blades to set machine up to run in conformance to specifications
Reads production schedule, customer specification, and other documents to determine set up or adjustment of equipment
Threads feedstock from reel through slitter and secures on rewinder
Observes machine operation and examines rolls for flatness, holes, surface and other defects
Measures dimensions of rolls using tape measure, gauge, template, ruler and square, for conformance to specification

Uses computer to enter production times, enter weights, generate tickets, etc.

Job Qualifications:
