Attending all training regarding safe operations to ensure personal and coworker safety b. Constructively intervening as necessary with coworkers of all levels c. Communicating unsafe conditions and being a part of their resolution d. Assisting with the investigation and follow-up of on-the-job incidents e. Following all safety programs, including lockout tagout, confined space, hot work, Safe Work Permitting, etc. • Assist in the upkeep of a clean and organized workplace • Foster teamwork with co-workers by: a. Listening and responding constructively to other team members. b. Expressing disagreement constructively (e.g. emphasizing points of agreement, suggesting alternatives that may be acceptable to the group). • Develop an awareness of the customers' needs. Consistently and proactively work to surpass their quality expectations under minimal supervision • Actively pursue new skills and job knowledge by initiating interactions with experienced operators and with the training team. • Perform other duties as assigned • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain forklift certification in accordance with internal company and OSHA standards. Job Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree (A.A.) in a related field preferred • Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task • Must possess good problem-solving skills. • Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Outlook. • Willingness to work as team member or independently • Demonstrates initiative • Experience in maintenance or operation in plant setting is preferred. Work Environment • The work environment may include some or all the following: o Inside and outside environment. Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. o Physically demanding activities o Dirty environment (situations in which workers or their clothing can become dirty, greasy, etc.) o May work in an area of intense or continuous noise.
