As an
Inbound Call Center Representative
you'll provide our patients with friendly, efficient appointment scheduling via the telephone and internet, verifying insurance and routing calls that do not require appointment scheduling. Our hours are from Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:00pm.
Job Duties May Include:
Greets each caller with a friendly customer service approach and handles the call appropriately.
Strives to set appointment times, dates and locations for the convenience of the patient
Schedules appointments according to defined physician template, with any deviation from the template requiring physician approval
Daily completion of internet appointments based on scheduling criteria
Completes phone calls courteously and efficiently, being mindful of the need to handle a high volume of calls
Verifies demographic and insurance information for all patients.
Skills/ Requirements:
Must have outstanding telephone etiquette, keyboarding and organizational skills
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills a plus
Excellent customer service attitude
The ability to perform as a member of a team are of utmost importance

The Albuquerque Ambulatory Eye Surgery Center is a joint venture (Eye Associates of New Mexico, Presbyterian and other local Independent Ophthalmologists), out-patient ophthalmology surgery center designed to provide quality care to the community.
Starting pay $17.00 per hour + depending on skills/experience
Full-Time Patient Care Coordinator provides assistance to patients through the handling of their account (billing) and surgical experience through communication with surgery scheduling and nursing personnel. Promotes/facilitates accurate and timely unit communication, courteously greets and directs patients, answers telephones and efficiently processes information, effectively utilizes computer system to meet patient/unit needs. Responsible for medical record being complete and in order at discharge, Processes and organizes necessary paperwork/information to facilitate flow and performs other functions as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works in conjunction with Billing Department for appropriate payment/co-pays.
Checks in patients on Surgery Day and serves as a liaison with families, rides, Etc.
Performs daily balancing-out function, including posting of payments, bank deposits and receipts to AO for billing
Serves on corporate committees as assigned
Serves as a patient advocate when patients call
Collects patients' portion and verifies demographics with each incoming patient
Maintains Schedule in SIS at least one month out for independent Surgeon scheduled cases
Maintains Schedule in SIS for same day or add on cases within designated time frame in conjunction with Administrative Office
Posts daily payments
Files and maintains tracking of completed and signed dictations and pathology
Prepares charts for next day surgery including creating, labeling, verifying necessary data is present, medical clearance, INR, POA
Maintenance of necessary office supply orders.
Responsible for pulling medical records and doctor requests as needed

Teleradiology Support Specialist

The Teleradiology Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical support to radiologists and other healthcare professionals who use teleradiology systems. The specialist will work closely with the IT team to ensure that the teleradiology systems are functioning properly and that any issues are resolved quickly. The specialist will also be responsible for training users on how to use the teleradiology systems and for troubleshooting any problems that arise.
Reporting
This position reports directly to the Teleradiology Manager and indirectly to RAA Teleradiology physicians. Work Schedule This is a part time variable hour (PRN) position where hours are not guaranteed and will vary from week to week. This department runs 24/7, therefore coverage flexibility will be required to fill in open shifts when they become available, at times with short notice. It involves day, evening and week-end work with call coverage. Consistent attendance is mandatory.
Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting. The majority of the employee's time is spent in the Teleradiology area, which will require long periods of sitting. Manual dexterity sufficient to use office equipment and fold laundry is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain communication between sites and physicians, which involves handling both incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
Maintain Monthly Tracking Log.
Manage and track all flow of paperwork.
Responsible for equipment and area maintenance including fax machines, dictation equipment, computers and general upkeep of the department.
Responsible for knowledge and use of various software applications (RIS, PACS, PowerScribe, Actionable Findings, Nuance, etc.)
Assist with looking up prior imaging for clinic
Assist radiologists in general work flow and troubleshooting system errors.
Wash, dry and appropriately fold laundry (per folding instructions) daily.
Stock refrigerator with drinks as needed.
Secure building by conducting a walk through to check perimeter. Monitor building and MRI alarms and utilize emergency phone tree if needed (after hours shifts only).
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Performance requirements
Knowledge of various office equipment and computer software applications such as Microsoft versions of: Word, and Excel. Radiologic Radiology Information System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS), Actionable Findings software knowledge preferred but not required. Ability to communicate clearly, exercise initiative, and have organizational skills required. This position requires skill in examining documents for correctness and interpreting their accuracy, gathering, analyzing and evaluating data, establishing and maintaining effective work relations with staff, vendors, and affiliated associates. IR Radiologist

A strong 31-member private practice group in a beautiful southwest metro location is looking for an Interventional Radiologist to join 4 other IR physicians and 4 full time PA's. The group covers two main hospitals, one of which is a tertiary referral center for the state, two joint venture imaging centers, 1 group owned outpatient facility and 6 rural outside hospitals. As an interventionalist, your primary focus would be with the two main hospitals and an outpatient clinic.
You can expect to do approximately 75% IR. The section is currently performing a wide range of vascular work, embolizations, including UFE's, chemoembolizations, DVT thrombolysis, PTA and stents. Non-vascular work includes tumor ablations (cryo, microwave, and RF), plus GI/GU interventions, kyphoplasty, and US/CT guided biopsies and drainages. A full venous program consists of IVC filters, TIPS, dialysis maintenance, and venous access, including chest ports and tunneled catheters.
Call is 1:4 weeks of IR-only coverage, No general/diagnostic call.

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Oculoplastic Coordinator to join our cosmetic surgery practice. The Oculoplastic Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of patient care, with a focus on coordinating oculoplastic procedures, providing patient education, managing Skin Medica treatments, and coordinating Humphrey Kinetic Visual Field testing. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide comprehensive patient education on oculoplastic procedures, pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, and skincare recommendations.
Coordinate Skin Medica treatments for patients undergoing cosmetic surgery, including scheduling appointments, managing product inventory, and educating patients on skincare regimens.
Conducting Humphrey Kinetic Visual Field testing for patients as part of pre-operative evaluations or post-operative care plans.
Coordinating with the surgery-scheduling department for arrangement of surgery with the provider.
Assist oculoplastic surgeons during patient consultations, providing support and answering patient questions regarding procedures, treatments, and outcomes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of treatment plans, consent forms, and post-operative progress notes.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless coordination of patient care and exceptional patient experiences.
Stay informed about advancements in oculoplastic surgery techniques, skincare products, and diagnostic testing methods.
Responsible for the ordering and management of Botox, Latisse and SkinMedica inventory.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in a similar role within a cosmetic surgery practice or oculoplastic surgery setting.

This position supports the patient referral service for the Doctor2Doctor department. Utilizing EPM, EHR, Document Management, Phreesia and other support systems, the Referral Services Representative will input, generate, quality control, edit, track and actively monitor the various stages of treatment and associated disposition within the system. This includes the production/review of reports, communication with patients, and external referral sources. This position works closely with Clinical Referral Coordinator as needed to determine appropriate scheduling of external referral patients. Communication will be in both verbal and written form.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and utilizes the consult/referral patient tracking database in association with information maintained within the EPM and EHR systems.
Maintains and utilizes the referral tracking program within Phreesia.
Communicates with external referral sources regarding the disposition of referred patients.
Generates reports, reviews patient status and maintains current contact information for referral sources.

The Lead Tech (COA) Provides technical support to physicians for the purposes of patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and continuing care. Gathers information about the patient through questioning, observation and the completion of various tests and procedures. The Surgical Facilitator/Scrub Tech primarily functions as an onsite surgical facilitator in support of the Anterior Segment surgeons. Works to facilitate smooth surgical services to ensure patients have a high quality surgical experience. Properly interprets A-scan values and other measurements provided by Lab; Verifies that each patient receives the correct IOL, according to the surgeon order; verbally confirms the intended end result target with the patient prior to surgery and helps to answer patient questions. Certified Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant and the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certifications.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Communicates information to patients (i.e. educates patients regarding intended refractive result after cataract surgery, setting appropriate patient expectations, answering patient questions, and involving the surgeon for additional patient education when necessary.
Reviews patient charts prior to surgery to 1) ensure complete surgical plan is documented, and 2) review intraocular lens order, making changes when appropriate based on surgeon recommendation.
Supplies OR in question with daily list of surgery patients requiring implants with the list including lenses of choice for each patient and other pertinent data on each patient
Documents patient history (determines and records general medical history, pertinent family medical history, and ocular history); updates medical record following physician exam, notes any changes to physician's surgical plan.

Communicates with procurement staff to ensure correct IOLs are available.

Skills/Qualifications:

We are currently looking for a Full-time Ophthalmic Triage Technician.
The Tech Triage position is responsible for triaging all incoming tech calls and maintaining the highest level of care telephonically. Providing professional assessments to prioritize urgent need for our patients. Uses critical thinking and high-level ophthalmic technician experience to gather information through questioning, observation, and understanding of medical records; facilitates patient exam and protects the physicians' time through maximum preparatory and follow up care. Versed in ophthalmic terminology and dictation in order to analyze systemic illness, medications, medical history, and family histories direct impact on the patient's eye care needs. This position is also responsible for following the outlined workflows for each drug/medication prior authorization. Verifies urgency and importance of the treatment plan dictated by the physician to determine time sensitive need for drug approval through the requestor/insurance. Initiates the prior authorization, follows guidelines for follow up, and carries out an appeal in denial cases.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assess the urgency of patients' ocular symptoms and documents relevant information to determine urgency
Verifies prescriptions, release of medical prescriptions for glasses, and advises patient of fees
Confirms diagnosis and treatment plan through the patient's medical record. Advocates on behalf of the patient in denial cases by utilizing supporting dictation from the physician
Analyzes prior authorization denials to identify trends, criteria, and educates staff to minimize future denials
Communicates with physician, patient, and third party representatives to keep clear documentation in the patient's chart, throughout the entirety of the prior authorization process
Navigates through internal EMR systems using accuracy and clear documentation to outline patient interactions.
Authorize medication refills according to guidelines established by the providers; document refills in the patient's medical record. Advise patient when an office visit is required before a refill request will be authorized.
Scheduling proficiency in EMR systems, and collaborates Patient Service Representatives for same-day emergency patient scheduling.
Identifies task types and outsources to correct departments when needed
Prepares patient's electronic medical record, document history, medications, and relevant information
Maintain prescription phone-in line, train new and additional personnel and provide coverage as needed.
Document patient history, general medical history, family history and ocular history
(If Applicable) Checks pupillary measurements
(If Applicable) Determines intraocular pressure
(If Applicable) Checks muscle motility
(If Applicable) Performs confrontation visual fields
(If Applicable) Performs slit lamp exam
(If Applicable) Performs retinoscopy and refraction
(If Applicable) Administers Dilating drops when necessary
(If Applicable) Prepares instruments for minor in-office procedures (e.g., suture removals, chalazion excisions, tear duct probings, etc.)
(If Applicable) Coordinates necessary stocking of all lane supplies where appropriate.
(If Applicable) Under doctor's direction, administers medications and applies dressings as needed.
(If Applicable) Keeps exam rooms occupied and patient flow moving
(If Applicable) Carefully and accurately charts proceedings and results of all patient visits
(If Applicable) Demonstrates knowledge of when and how to do specialized testing (e.g, BAT, PAM, Topography, Keratometry, Formal Visual Fields, Schirmer's Test, etc.)
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Tech Triage career ladder requirements:
Tech Triage I - Required to achieve COA certification within 90 days from the date of hire.
Must have experience in different ophthalmic subspecialties and proficiency in scribing.
Demonstrated competency in the defined content areas of COA, COT, and COMT, as per policy number HR2.29
High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer service orientation and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills preferred; typing skills of at least 35 words per minute are desirable.
