Dr. Joseph Gira is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine receiving his Doctorate Degree with Distinction. His transitional internship was at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. Dr. Gira completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center, Hermann Eye Center. He has been in private practice in St. Louis since 1999. He is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois.

Dr. Gira is Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has presented numerous papers at various ophthalmology conferences, has published research papers, and is an accomplished speaker.

As one of the leading innovators in the refractive cataract surgery field, Dr. Gira also carries the honor of being a Premier Surgeon 300 member. These Premier Surgeons were hand-chosen by the editors and publishers of Ocular Surgery News, a prestigious Ophthalmology media source, because of the influence and innovation they have contributed to the industry. Dr. Gira was chosen for this distinct honor by continuously working to educate and share his knowledge and techniques with his colleagues and the rest of the refractive cataract surgery field.

Mr. McCrann has over 30 years of experience managing and operating healthcare companies. Most recently, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Xcorporeal, Inc., a medical device company from 2008 to 2010. Mr. McCrann was responsible for product development, strategic partnerships and facilitating the sale of the company. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of DaVita Inc., from 2006 to 2007, where he was responsible for all home based renal replacement therapies for the United States’ second largest kidney dialysis provider. Prior to that, Mr. McCrann was the Chief Executive Officer and President of PacifiCare Dental and Vision, Inc and has held executive positions at Professional Dental Associates, Inc., Coram Healthcare Corporation, HMSS, Inc. and American Medical International and began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. McCrann is a graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and the Harvard Business School. Mr. McCrann currently sits on the Boards of Loma Linda University Medical Center and Sound Surgical Technologies, Inc. He is a former director of Dental One, Inc., InPatient Consultants, Inc., OrthoSynetics, Inc. and Xcorporeal, Inc.

Lisa Shapleigh is a Chief Human Resources Officer at Eyecare Partners LLC and is based in Région De St., St. Louis, Missouri. She has worked as Vice President Human Resources & CHRO at Maverick Tube Corporation, Vice President Human Resources at EXPRESS SCRIPTS INC, and Vice President Human Resources at Terminix. Lisa studied at Lindenwood University between 2000 and 2001 and Franklin College between 1980 and 1984.
