This role oversees central line site care and lab draws. The nurse in this position will perform and supervise port access/deaccess, sterile dressing changes, flush protocols, and site assessments for ports, PICCs, and tunneled lines. The nurse in this position provides education to pediatric patients and families on line maintenance.
