The Position
Global Payroll, Time, Benefits solution strategy aims to streamline and optimize the delivery of payroll, time & benefit (PTB) services in Roche. As we roll-out this strategy, US and Canada are already live with Workday solution, Aurora and Boreal programs are implementing payroll, time, benefit solutions in Switzerland, Germany, China and LATAM respectively. Continuing this journey further, PTB Small and mid-sized countries program aims to roll-out these solutions in the rest of Roche(EMEA & APAC) under Program Polaris.
As Regional Pay, Time and Benefits Service Transition & Operational Governance Manager you belong to the People Support Solutions Chapter and you will report to the Global Service Transition & Governance Lead. You will be implementing the Service Management Framework for PTB related services for the scope of your countries in EMEA based on the globally established best practices for the Polaris Program. In this role you will be supporting in transitioning from program mode into daily operations once the program is live.
Responsibilities
Regional Service Transition Management:
* Planning and execution of Service Transition activities for your scope of countries (Europe, Middle East, Africa) in alignment with other Stream Leads based on global template and best practices
* Define Country Service Catalog based on the Future Service Catalog Template and the defined operating model
* Provide Service Transition input on Change Impact Assessment
* Support in setting standards for Business Process Harmonization and Standardization
* Establish controls to ensure financial compliance in country (ICFR, Segregation of Duties)
* Responsible for managing Organizational Readiness Testing before country go live
* Closely collaborate with Operations (e.g. Regional Centers, Local PTB Experts etc.) to ensure smooth transition from program to operations
Regional operational Service Governance
* Ensuring adherence to global PTB standards and practices in the region
* Ensuring consistent delivery of PTB services across all PSS locations, including a seamless experience for the customer
* Support Business Process Management activities for Pay, Time, Benefits administration related process, which may includes facilitating current state process mappings and defining / mapping the future process landscape
* Reviewing KPIs and SLAs (vendor and internal) for countries in scope. Once countries are live they will be taken into the business as usual support models. As part of this you will join Regional Review Meetings and Business Review Meetings and report out results to stakeholders
* You are responsible for building a strong partnership with the vendor in your regional scope
General Responsibilities
* You will be a member of the Pay, Time; Benefits System Round Table to represent the scope of your countries
* You will closely collaborate with other Regional Service Transition & operational Governance Managers
* Support defining internal and external support models and establish them in countries in your scope
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
Skills / Capabilities needed:
* Experience in Service Management / Customer Services, preferably in an HR environment
* Experience in managing transformation projects including migration
* Payroll, Time and Benefits experience is a plus
* Experience in managing business processes
* Experience in vendor management is a plus
* Ability to work effectively and deliver in matrix organizations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple, competing priorities
* Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and leaders on regional level
* Ability to manage change in a rapidly changing environment
* Be prepared to work outside the standard office hours and according to different time zones

Principal System Engineer
The Position
You will play a key role in the development of the Roche sequencer, focusing on the overall system performance, integration and verification of the hardware, software and reagents from a platform perspective. Conceives, plans and conducts advanced independent Systems Development experiments from project inception through product launch and field support, defining project milestones and applying advanced scientific knowledge to complete projects. This includes:
* The development of test and measurement methodology for the characterization of the sequencing platform. This includes: test design, metrology tools and methods, analysis methodology, data management and reporting.

* Development of detailed platform process descriptions through a deeper understanding of underlying system physics.

* Development of requirements and specifications for the sequencing platform.
* Characterization of sequencing and assay performance. Verification of the performance against requirements.
* Preparation of feasibility plans, execution and reporting of results.
* Preparation of sequencing verification test cases, collection and analysis of sequencing data, reporting of results.
* Applies specialized knowledge to a broad range of System problems. Leads technical activities in an area of specialty.
* Works on a wide range of problems where original contributions are required. Creative, imaginative thinking is required. Works independently with general management direction. Work is reviewed in detail over a specific time frame.
You will be a leader of the system development at the platform level. You must be organized and detail oriented. Experience with sequencing system development including verification of sequencing systems is required.
Designs experiments to test hypotheses related to project outcomes, and analyzes and interprets data/results. Recommends new or creative approaches, and/or expansion or curtailment of investigations based on experimental data or new scientific information arising from area of responsibility. Participates in project planning, process updates, and experimental design. Assumes responsibility for timely completion of projects, ensuring activities are consistent with project critical path and responding appropriately to changing priorities. Ensures technical activities under delegated supervision are concluded within internal and external guidelines and regulations. Interacts with other departments to further project goals.

Relocation benefits are not offered for this role. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA is $125,000 and $155,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
