Our team is tasked with regulatory projects as well as overarching regulatory topics with specific focus in Companion Diagnostics. As a Regulatory Affairs Manager focused on Companion Diagnostics (CDx), with specific focus on systems and software, you will be the key strategic partner driving market access for our life-changing IVD products in major global markets, primarily the US and Europe.
The Opportunity
* You oversee regulatory document and submission compilation, which includes the development of submission/product registration dossiers of more complex products/programs. You develop and manage parts of comprehensive global regulatory submissions and registration plans.
* For this specific role, you ensure that Roche IVD products, systems and software, particularly Companion Diagnostics, receive timely regulatory clearance/approval in your areas of responsibility (focusing on the US and Europe) by working in close cooperation with other regulatory units.
* You interface with external management. Who you are
* You have a Bachelor's / Master degree in Life Science, Data Science or related subject or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.
* You have 3-5 years experience with PhD degree, 5-7 with Masters degree and 6-8 years with Bachelor degree in the field of IVDs/Medical devices/Pharma/Biopharmaceutical with significant experiences in Regulatory Affairs or equivalent.
* You have demonstrated experience and knowledge of Daily Management and Continuous Improvement best practices.
* You have knowledge of the European, US, China and other international regulations and demonstrated ability to adequately interpret and implement quality standards considered an advantage.
* You have demonstrated the ability to manage more complex work and/or at parts of global projects.
* Experience in Companion Diagnostics is required.
* Experience with Systems, Instruments or Software is required.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of TucsonArizona is $103,900 and $193,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. RDS Pathology Lab Development leverages its core capabilities in Assay and Reagent Development, Systems and Hardware Development, and Software Development. As part of the Project Management Chapter, the Global Project Manager (GPM) plays a key role in optimized product delivery and is accountable for all project management aspects of various projects from simple to complex in nature. * You will own project/program/product structures for Companion Diagnostics (CDx) product development & product care activities including communication management, timelines, resource and budget plans, progress and cost control, and risk management.
* You will create, coordinate, and maintain integrated project plans including dependencies, resources and budgets, allowing the teams to work efficiently and effectively. You are accountable for quality implementation in projects in the following areas: Project risk management; Critical path analysis; Scenario creation and analysis; Budget; Robust planning.

* You will execute project management processes including guiding and managing preparation for milestone reviews, capacity reviews (cQCR, SCR & fQCR), etc., as applicable & may lead improvement initiatives. * You will select project methodology and apply agile methods as appropriate, including coaching and guiding teams in project methodology, including agile practices (with Project/Program Leads or PMC management if appropriate). You have expertise in working in a hybrid Agile role, combining Agile methods (usually within the project/product team) with non-Agile techniques (usually needed with partners and some functions).
* You will establish, measure, and report the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), standard metrics, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) or Outcome Based Planning (OBPs) key results for projects enabling teams and functions to measure and improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Who You Are:
* You hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Life Sciences field.

* You have at 1 year of experience in the following areas: clinical biomarker or In Vitro Diagnostic development, companion diagnostic development, analytical and clinical validations, regulatory submissions, instrument/systems development, or program management experience
* You have 1 year of experience in a regulated industry (e.g. FDA 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
* You have 1 year experience collaborating with external partners, including communication, project timelines, and performance to align with company goals and quality standards.
* You have experience creating and maintaining comprehensive project schedules using tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar integrated scheduling platforms, proactively identifying schedule risks and driving corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications:
* You hold a Master's degree, preferably in a Life Sciences field, and 6 years project management / engineering/ business experience in the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry leading product development and product care projects. Alternatively, you hold a Ph.D. with 3 years project management experience in those areas.
* Prior 3 years in clinical biomarker or In Vitro Diagnostic development experience in companion diagnostic development, analytical and clinical validations and regulatory submissions or instrument development and program management.
* You have leveraged Agile and hybrid delivery models with tools like JIRA, Azure Dev Ops (ADO), or other platforms to manage global projects, adapting ceremonies and workflows to meet regional, regulatory, and organizational needs.
