Fabcon Precast company history timeline

1970

David Hanson and Gerald Rauenhorst established Fabcon in 1970 to develop the potential of SpanDeck technology, then used for producing 8 foot wide concrete wall panels and floor slabs.

1971

Fabcon’s first plant began operations in 1971, producing slabs for use in apartment buildings and retail projects.

1989

Zymax was acquied in 1989 to expand into the electronics and photo chemical etching markets.

1995

With the acquisition of The American Precast Company in 1995, Fabcon gained a plant in Grove City, Ohio.

1996

Stoesser was acquired in 1996 to add registration to the imaging products.

1997

PAC was acquired in 1997 to add glass tooling for the Printed Circuit and Photo Etch markets.

2000

The eastward expansion continued in 2000 with the addition of a third Fabcon facility in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

2001

Alpha Merics was acquired in 2001 to expand into the Digital Printing market.

2004

The line was sold to Cal Tool & Die in 2004.

2006

Dorn was acquired in 2006 to get in to the Roller Coater market and expand UV Curing and Dryers.

2010

FMA was acquired in 2010 to expand the Roller Coater line to inclue wide format coaters.

2015

In 2015, Fabcon set its sights west and added a fourth plant in Pleasanton, Kansas.

2016

Fabcon celebrated 45 years of quality, dedication to excellence and first-class service in 2016.
