Job Description
As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for the fabrication, layout, alignment, and fitting of materials into products while following blueprints and specifications using applicable tools and equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs quality checks on completed products.
• Responsible for meeting fabrication schedules, completes work orders and assignments according to guidelines/timelines.
• Report job and schedule status to supervisor/manager as appropriate.
• Read specifications such as blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures.
• Inspect materials, products and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Monitor item stocking and min/max levels to determine reorder needs.
• Perform equipment inspections
• Perform site safety inspections.
• Responsible for all aspects of safety compliance of department.
• Any other duty, task or responsibility as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
• Prior Fabrication experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Must be detail oriented, excellent communicator, highly organized
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Eaton's is currently seeking a Basket Fabrication/Cutter-Welder to join our team. This position is based at our Fitzgerald, GA location. Competitive rates starting at $17/hr.
Applicant must be able to do the following:

+ Read and interpret prints, charts, work orders and other documents used in the manufacture of strainer baskets

+ Accurately use measurement and cutting equipment such as tape measures calipers, hand shears, table shear, drill press, cut off tools, grinders, engraver and inductive spot welding machines

+ Use roll forming equipment and perform simple assembly of metal components

+ Meet quality and productivity objectives and targets for department

+ Assist with cycle counting of inventory and annual physical inventory as needed

+ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

+ Follow all established job procedures

+ Adhere to Eaton, Safety, Environmental and Ethical policies and procedures

+ Work with limited supervision

+ Will rotate shifts and work overtime as required

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Live Our Vision, Values and Beliefs every day
  • Cut layers of fabric into parts for outdoor cushions
  • Spread fabric on machine table preparatory to cutting and engages the cradle so the machine automatically pulls fabric as the parts are processed
  • Enter correct information into computer according to cutting specifications, ensures proper operation is being performed, and starts the machine to cut the fabric
  • Scan the ticket into the tracking system when the cushion is completed
  • Mark appropriate places on the fabric as required by style
  • Retrieve additional fabric from the fabric storage area if needed
  • Separate cutting waste, unloads cut fabric parts from table and bundles cut pieces together
  • Observe all plant safety rules

  • 3+ years of experience operating Gerber Automated Cutting Machine in high quality upholstery furniture manufacturing environment.
